SEO is the art of building your website according to what your target audience is ALREADY searching for on the internet.

Using premium tools like AHREFS, we determine the keywords (search terms and search volumes) that your audience searches on search engines like Google and then plan your website pages according to our findings.

This data-driven approach helps to make sure you are not guessing what your audience needs are, rather, you know exactly what their needs are.

That is why we tell every client that simply building a website does not mean traffic, let alone leads or customers, will start flowing.

The keyword research findings are also used for running ad campaigns so that landing pages can be built, fine tuned, and then put in front of the people who are searching for what you sell.

If you have built your website without the proper SEO research then you are only guessing and hoping for results.

If you feel your website isn't performing to your expectations they perhaps its time to assess your website's SEO implementation strategy.

Did you know that websites are like people?

It's actually not a crazy idea.

Say we have a population of 10 people.

It would be pretty easy for people to find each other, right?

Okay then let's say we have 1,000,000 people.

Now it's definitely a lot harder for people to find each other.

The larger the population, the lower the probability that each person would ever get to meet each other at least once.

So websites are no different.

If there were only 10 websites in the world, then everyone would just memorize them and it's easy to remember.

But, there are over 1 Billion websites published on the internet!

But not all of them compete with each other, rather they compete with each other in smaller groups and niches.

This is why niching, Branding and SEO are so important.

Choosing a niche and establishing a brand will help narrow down the number of websites yours will compete again.

Implementing SEO on your website will help it rank higher in Google search results.

Of course, your competitors will also be implementing SEO.

That's why SEO is not a one-and-done task, rather, it's an ongoing assessment of your industry, keywords, content, competitor analysis, and optimizing your website regularly to keep it competitive.

Client reviews are highly underrated and unfortunately very often forgotten. They help build trust and rapport with your target audience.

Think about it. Would you rather buy something from someone with a good reputation or an unknown reputation?

Definitely someone with a good reputation and positive client reviews strengthen your reputation.

Remember to always ask your happy customers for a review on your Google Business Profile and your website at the very least!

User experience (UX) is too often overlooked.

When you want your users to make a purchase, make a donation, register for your service, submit a form, or just click a button, then you have to make sure you provide the easiest possible pathway for them to do that.

Poor user experiences are known to increase bounce rates (this is when visitors some to your website but leave without taking action for some reason).

Although not all traffic who leave do so because of bad UX (some might leave because the produce or service you are selling just isn't for them), many do leave because the website was too slow or they just couldn't find what they were looking for easily.

If you want your users to stay on your website longer or complete your call to action then consider the following improvements:

1. Reduce navigation complexity
2. Provide a responsive mobile experience
3. Increase website speed
4. Use visual hierarchy (size, contrast, and spacing)
5. Speak your audiences language (keep it simple)
6. Provide feedback and validation through user interactions
7. Make it accessible per WCAG standards

These are just some actions you can take to improve your UX.

Very often, non-profit websites are never built to their fullest potential.

While non-profits are fundamentally different in their collection of money, they still operate like a normal for-profit business.

That is why we always push for non-profits to invest into their websites like a for-profit business would.

Here are 4 elements of a website every non-profit organization should consider implementing based on our experience.

Good website copy will either make or break the success of your website.

If a salesman says the right things in the right way to the right person at the right time they they are likely to convert a lead into a buyer.

Likewise, if the words on your website say the right things in the right way to the right person at the right time, they your website will likely convert a lead into a buyer or could even convert traffic into leads.

Investing your money into good copy is money well spent.

How do you know if your copy is working though?

The first thing to do is research keywords that are relevant to your service, industry, and customers using a premium tool like AHREFS.

Then you want to make sure you are measuring your website's traffic and conversion rate.

Using a data-driven approach like this is important because it helps to provide better direction when adjusting or writing the copy for your websites pages.
