Southeast Asia is home to 11 countries and a rich array of cultures and traditions—plus, incredibly delicious and diverse flavours. Here in TBay, we are more than 14,000 km away from the region, but fortunately we can sample some of its cuisine, both authentic dishes and contemporary interpretations with a Canadian spin. In this issue of The Walleye, we showcase meals from 11 different Southeast Asian restaurants right here in our community. Enjoy!

Let’s hear it for the great indoors! As northwesterners, we know that the quickest cure for cabin fever is to get out of the house, but there’s no reason why your destination can’t be welcoming and cosy. In this issue of The Walleye, we salute eight social spaces—from saunas and studios to rinks and restaurants—where you can connect and recharge this winter. We hope you’re inspired to embrace winter’s short days and long nights by doing something fun, TBay-style. Are you in?
