Total snowfall: Highest amounts expected over the Highlands and western Cape Breton.
Maximum wind gusts Northwesterly 80 to 100 km/h.
Time span: Sunday into Monday.
Similar storms in the past have caused:
- hazardous driving conditions
- scattered utility outages
- road closures
Remarks: Snow is expected to be heaviest over the Highlands. Strong winds accompanying the snow will cause reduced visibility at times in blowing snow. Travel could become difficult. If you must travel, be prepared for delays and allow extra time to reach your destination.
