Available now from RMB | Rocky Mountain Books — Everything is Poa: One Man’s Search for Peace and Purpose in East Africa by Jamey Glasnovic 🌄

This is Jamey Glasnovic’s third book, and in it, Jamey commits to testing his physical limits beyond the comfort zone of the pub. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro went a long way in accomplishing that goal. But it was the misadventures on his bicycle in Tanzania and Rwanda that helped define the journey. The warm and generous people he met along the way, along with the spectacular wildlife that is part of the African continent’s allure, are what stole his heart in the end 🌍✈️🗺️

300 Mason Jars event at Windowseat Books last week! If you missed the event, stop by Windowseat Books to get a signed copy 📚🌸

We had a wonderful evening with Joanne Thomson!

Thank you to everyone who attended the book talk and painting demonstration for 300 MASON JARS. Joanne discussed family narratives, the distorting qualities of glass, and the stories we can uncover. If you missed the event, check out 300 Mason Jars today — we have signed copies!

300 Mason Jars: Preserving History is a charming art book exploring universal family themes through 300 watercolor paintings of objects “preserved” in Mason jars. Artist Joanne Thomson beautifully depicts the fragmented history of her family’s hope, challenges, failures, and persistence through these images. Combining still-life painting with visual storytelling, she presents everyday artifacts—from flowers and fruit to tools, toys, photographs, and farm equipment—placed in, on, beside, or behind glass jars.

These simple objects, carefully gathered from the artist’s family and their environments, represent the depth and complexity of daily life. Thematically arranged, the pieces explore traditional gender roles, food security during scarcity, the renewal and hope found in nature’s bounty, treasured heirlooms, and the ever-present weight of family secrets. Beautiful and endlessly fascinating, 300 Mason Jars is a stunning addition to any art lover’s collection.
