Yeah - it’s a long movie. I timed a bathroom break badly and missed a pivotal moment. But i had my movie wing-woman, , who quietly caught me back up so i was good for the next hour and a half to come. We really enjoyed this wildly incredible story. crankygoatentertainment

Powerful movie. Dont pay any attention to the negativity around this film ( google it). Its an incredible and inspiring story thats cant be true. But .. it is. Highly recommended.

Faces of . I met such a fabulous group of people on this trip. Of course the main goal was seeing friend from another lifetime - Sebastian. This time I would meet some of his family; something that never occurred back in ‘88-90. Seb’s oldest sister, Celia is a fascinating woman who has stories of travelling overland through the Middle East, Iran, Afghanistan and India the old-school way in the 1970’s. She’s a therapist now. And then Seb’s next sister, Katey,her husband Chris and their family - who made me part of their family from the moment I walk through their door. The fearless Zoë who has built schools in Zambia and other far flung countries. Seb’s Retford pub pals - impressed with my shaky karaoke version Comfortably Numb. Turns out we all saw the 1988 Pink Floyd concert at Wembley. The greatest Lamb Kabab server in Retford at the Charcoal Grill. The coolest pub security lady who is a competitive fighter. And - 80 year old Marge who gave me life advice on the Retford/London train. Her husband died at 28 and she raised her four children on her own. Hard as nails. Lives on her own - but went “full mom mode” when stepped of the train. “You got your wallet? Your phone? Be care ‘ere. There’s thieves about!” Thanks to you all for making this a fabulous step back in time for me.

So.. a little story about this book. 1989 i was travelling in the Indian Rajasthan desert with an English self proclaimed druid - Tim. He was was quite a juggler and card magic guy. “Wanna learn card magic? Start with Royal Road to Card Magic” he said. “Buy it back in England at the International Magic Shop”. So I did. I didnt have enough cash on me at the time - but the shop owner loved the “in the Rajasthan desert” story and gave me a discount ( i was a poor traveler in 1989). In 2019 i had an unfortunate mishap where my book was lost on my lawn. So on this trip, i decided to replace the book. I could pay full price this time! Maybe I learn some tricks now ….

Had a fabulous stay in Retford, England. The best Lamb doner is at The Charcoal Grill served by this lovely lady, and then there are other great people too. Like my new friends from a great pub- The Old Sun. And here are some sights too; canal bridges and market square … GREAT turkish coffee and - of course - my favorite Retforder… Sebastian.

The ABBA show was INCREDIBLE!! Its was the best audio visual experience Ive ever had .. and anyone who know me would recognize that’s high praise indeed! The lasers! The lightshow! The audio ststem! The hologram version of ABBA as they were in the 1970’s. It completely blew mind! It was like they truly were there on stage. I’ve seen Micheal Jackson Thriller and Bad tour shows. Pink Floyd. The Roger Waters Wall show - but this ABBA show is unrivalled for innovation and creativity!! See it if you can!

I took a trip back in time yesterday. Back to 1988. With this good friend, Sebatian Cooper. We worked at the White Cross Hotel together in another lifetime. Such a perfect day! It was an embarrassment of nostalgia! Never knew how good life was in 1988. But thats how Life works right? It was a perfect day.
