Wondering what's all happening this Saturday at the Grand Opening? The show starts at 1pm and runs through 4pm. Pack up the kiddos and head to the park for a completely free event. There's so much to do and so many give-a-ways that this is a can't miss event. Head to the Municipality of Huron East and into town early to
Shop Seaforth. Then head down to the Seaforth Lions Park. Enjoy free popcorn from the Seaforth Optimist Club. Climb aboard some heavy machinery from VanDriel Excavating. Check out the Seaforth Public School spirit dancers. Enjoy the sounds from the The Honey Sweethearts. Take some swings against the pitching machine of
Seaforth Minor Baseball. Visit with Youth Unlimited YFC Mid Huron. Explore the
Huron County Library. Take a free swim in the recently refinished Seaforth Lions Pool. Devour a tasty treat from Tuckersmith Communications Co-operative Ltd. Explore the park to find kids carnival games and face painting stations. Discover what's inside a Huron & Area Search & Rescue - HASAR vehicle. Create your own custom button with The Button Pusher. Climb aboard the Fire Trucks from the Seaforth Fire Department and enjoy a free barbeque from the Seaforth Lions Club. The Seaforth & District All Girls Marching Band get us started at 1pm. We cannot wait to see you all there!

Check out this awesome vinyl wrap Artech Signs & Graphics applied to the controls vault at the splash pad this past week. Phil and his team do great work for their customers. One year ago - we launched our campaign at the Seaforth Lions Club Santa Claus Parade with our 'sprinkler' inspired float. Tonight, we come full circle to celebrate your wonderful accomplishment Seaforth! See you all along the parade route tonight... AND NEXT SPRING AT OUR BRAND NEW SPLASH PAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When we started this adventure - we were clear that we did not want to leave the Seaforth Lions Club with a large operational cost after the Splash Pad was built. When we outlined our project to the Huron East/Seaforth Community Development Trust they jumped right in to help create a sustainable improvement for our community. With their pledge of $10,000 annually (for each of the next 10 years) operational costs are covered for the next decade.

Did you and the kids have a productive night collecting candy from the generous neighbors? We know you did, because you live in the Municipality of Huron East and they all Shop Seaforth. We also know you did because we've been collecting personal donations for the past few months. Those donations have totaled nearly $11,000 towards the Seaforth Lions Club's new Splashpad. These donations have been instrumental in our success.

From individuals donating pocket change at the LCBO to people dropping off cash at our events to community members e-transferring directly to our account and generous gifters making a donation in lieu of a present. Each and every one of these donations are so greatly appreciated and truly humbling.

This image is what we - as a community - have created. The Seaforth Lions Pool will have a new addition next spring - for all of us to enjoy!

We've been a little behind in our appreciation posts... but we had tremendous support from all over Municipality of Huron East. The community members who make up the Seaforth Optimist Club stepped up with a $1,000 donation in support of the Splashpad. As their motto suggests, they are doing great things for the youth in our community. Thank you Optimist members for all your hard work and continued support for our youth! We all truly appreciate it!

"The Pathway to Splash-Play" was created with the help of so many people... which is ironic, because it provides the Splashpad with accessibility and enables so many people access to our pad. Curtis Costello led the way on this project and his contribution cannot be overlooked. He's a big man with an even bigger heart and we are so very thankful for his contribution.

Curtis leaned on his connections and called in more than a few favours to bring this to life. We owe big thanks to...

The crew at Stratford Crane Rental Ltd manage a fleet of cranes ranging from 30 to 115 ton capacity and are capable of doing all heavy lifting... like giving back to their community.
