11/23/2024

Our last sea day on the Sun Princess consisted of us, squeezing in as much entertainment, and great food as possible.

We explored some of the Lido deck, food options, where Mrs. Canuck had a delicious Shawarma.

After a relaxing day with a mixture of pool time and unfortunately packing, we headed out for an evening of entertainment.

We were able to take in a live performance from our favourite band on board called Tapioca Duo before heading to dinner at The Butcher Block.
This Sun Princess cruise has a lot of new options for cruisers, but the one thing that stuck out with us was how amazing all of the staff and crew were.
A big, thank you to all the wonderful crew that made this trip so spectacular for us!

Our sea day had us trying things that we don’t normally do on a cruise ship. do you like to spend a little time in the casino while on a cruise ship?

After a relaxing day we fancied ourselves up for another fun night on the ship. We enjoyed a new to us dining experience, which was Umai Hot Pot. Have you ever tried a hot pot experience?

We found our way to The Dome for the Captains Party before enjoying some wonderful entertainment in O’Malley’s.
Back up to the Dome to end our night dancing the night away with some fun silent disco. 💃🏻

One of the most picturesque ports of call St. Thomas!
We bought an excursion through Princess for a catamaran ride to Buck Island, where we were able to swim with turtles! It was a phenomenal experience for Mrs. Canuck.

Back on the ship we spent some time relaxing on the pool deck before getting ready for the night entertainment.
We had a wonderful meal The Catch by Rudi. mr. Canuck was happy to report that they had a very nice vegetarian pasta dish added to the menu.

We finished our evening up on the pool deck for an outdoor dance party. A fun time was had by all!

The sun and heat welcomed us to old San Juan. We spent a wonderful morning, checking out this beautiful city that has so much wonderful character. From its cobblestone roads to the brightly coloured buildings it is a great location to just walk up and down the streets and take the beauty of the city.

We visited one of our favourite restaurants in San Juan, which is called Manolin. We have visited this restaurant a few times before the food and service is always amazing.

In the heat of the afternoon we had it back on board the Sun Princess to cool down with a swim in the pool at The Dome. We are amazed at how quiet that area of the ship was. We enjoyed a cool swim and comfy loungers while relaxing and reading our books.

After having a wonderful dining experience at the Crown Grill we had it back off the ship to check out old San Juan in the evening. We finished our night, watching our ship sail away from this beautiful port of call.

11/19/2024

Our first sea day onboard the Sun Princess gave us some time to check out different venues on board.

We started our morning off at the Eatery where Mr. Canuck was served giant bowl of strawberries with whipped cream!

After a relaxing morning in the Dome reading our books we had it down to Alfredo‘s pizzeria for lunch.

After getting dressed for our formal night, we had it to Bellini‘s cocktail bar for pre-dinner drink. Bellini’s is located right next to the Piazza. We enjoyed a little guitar soloist before heading to the main dining room for dinner.

We enjoyed the wonderful meal and of course Mrs. Canuck went with the surf and turf option.
We spent our evening listening to music and spending time with friends while squeezing in a couple of dances in the Piazza!

A beautiful day in Princess Cay!
We had the most fabulous time on the island.🏝️
Mrs. Canuck is happy to report that she saw the biggest stingray ever while snorkeling.

We enjoyed beach barbeque lunch with a view overlooking the ocean and our fabulous Sun Princess cruise ship.

We had dinner last night at O’Malley’s. It is an extremely popular venue with people lining up and waiting for tables throughout the night. There was a life piano player, entertaining everyone.

We made it to the Princess Arena for our first production show. The size of the theatre was definitely an issue however we thoroughly enjoyed the talented performers along with an amazing live band.

We finished our evening in the Princess Live where we were entertained with musical trivia and then a comedian.

11/17/2024

Back in Fort Lauderdale to do something we’ve never done before which is a side-by-side cruise. We spent the morning disembarking from the Celebrity Apex and we jumped across the port to board the sun princess.

We spent the day on the Sun trying to get ourselves familiarized with this new ship. There is a lot to check out. It is an easy statement to say there are a lot of unique places on this new Princess ship.

We have to say we had a great day, very smooth, embarkation process with our luggage arriving at our cabin by 1:30pm.

We dined in Sabatini’s restaurant where there were a few new options on the menu. Cannolis was Mrs. Canucks favourite addition .

We ended our evening at the Good Spirits bar where we watched a mixologist show. Mr. Canuck even became a part of the show!

Have you ever seen a Good Spirits presentation while onboard a Princess ship?
We have to say that we had an amazing entertaining mixologist put on a great performance tonight while making a cocktail for Mr. Canuck.

We were very impressed with the set up of this venue on the new Sun Princess.

Perfect day at Coco Cay!
It has been on our bucket list for quite a few years now to cruise to Royal Caribbeans and Celebrity private island Coco Cay.
Our question to ourselves was “will it live up to the hype?”
We are happy to report that it indeed was a Perfect Day in Coco Cay!
We jammed as much fun in our last day as possible. We enjoyed a beautiful sail away on the Magic Carpet before heading to the Cosmopolitan Dining.
We ended our evening with another amazing production show!
We feel so privileged to be able to travel as much as we do and spend time with wonderful friends that we have meant through our Cruising Canucks adventures.❤️🛳️

Have you ever taken part in a silent disco while on a cruise ship?
We enjoyed our second sea day on the Celebrity Apex taking in as much entertainment as possible. We also made sure to give herself some relaxing time and enjoying the beautiful aft ocean view at Eden.

11/14/2024

The sun was shining on us as we made our way to Falmouth Jamaica. We had a nice little walkabout where we enjoyed some local entertainment and of course, a little shopping!

We made our way to the champagne, hot tubs on board the Apex. Followed it up with some wonderful relaxing time

In the evening we found ourselves dining at the Tuscan restaurant, which is one of the four included main dining room experiences.

We had the opportunity to watch our first production show last night which was called Tree of Life.We both really enjoyed it. The singing and choreography were top notch.

11/13/2024

We had our first port of call today in Grand Cayman. The sun was shining as we took the tender boat to land. We hired a private taxi guide for a tour of the beautiful island. After going to Hell and back throughout the island, we tried some local drinks and snacks before heading back to the beautiful Apex.
We spent our evening having enjoying the wonderful talent on board. We went to the theatre for a comedian show, which had us in belly laughs.

We finish the night off with a tribute to Fleetwood Mac from the very talented group called Duo Nova.

What do you look forward to most on a Sea Day?
Is it relaxing on Lido deck with your favourite book?
Is it sampling as much as a wonderful food on board as you can find?
Is it getting all dressed up for the evening and enjoying all the entertainment on board?
Happy to report we did all of the above on our Apex sea day.
