Sauble Beach was a logging industry?
The town of Sauble Falls was founded in 1864 to support the logging industry. A lumber mill was built at the falls in 1867, and the mill operated until the late 1920s. The mill was powered by water from the race pond, which was fed by a rectangular concrete raceway.

Amabel Hospitality Group, the team who brought you Heydays, The Dunes, and Bartiki are very excited to announce a new restaurant in Sauble Beach opening spring 2025. Bringing classic Italian cuisine to the Bruce, we are happy to introduce you to Gigi’s Italian.

We will work hard this winter on renovating, restoring, and reviving a classic Sauble landmark, 651 Main Street, Sauble Beach, and we look forward to sharing the exciting changes to come.
We love Sauble Beach and the Bruce and cannot wait to open our doors to you!

The Amabel team, alongside Executive Chef Tyler Cunningham will be guiding the culinary direction for Gigi’s; we are very excited and hungry just thinking about it!
