The 2026 is this Saturday, February 28th, and Myriad Entertainment projects are up for six nominations!
Hunting Trip - Written/Directed by Nathan Smit is up for Best Short film and will be having its WORLD PREMIERE as part of the 12pm screening block. Hunting Trip was made possible with the financial support of SK Arts.
The Heir - Written/Directed by Kyler Wilton is up for Best Short Film & Best Sound Design for Giovana Nabarrete and Levi Mierau. The film will screen at 12pm
First Laid Eyes - Written/Directed by Logan McCormick is up for Best Short Film, Best Director (Scripted), and Best Technical Achievement for Cinematography by Jeremy Ratzlaff. The film will screen at 10am.
We also want to shout out some folks on the Myriad Team who are nominated for awards on other projects.
Jordan Wendzina is nominated for Best Writer, Best Actor, and Best Short Film for his latest film, "More Than One Way to Split a Cat". The film will have its WORLD PREMIERE screening at 10am.
Levi Mierau is nominated for Best Technical Achievement of Visual Effects for his work on Welcome to Kittytown - Movie along with fellow vfx artist Richard Wright.
We can't wait to celebrate this night of Saskatchewan film with everyone and we will see you in Moose Jaw on Saturday!
