Paul's Musings

Paul's Musings I am looking to create a page where I can stream reflections on life and offer encouragement.

Anyone feeling the JOY of the Christmas season?
I do not see JOY as a direct emotion, but it is certainly a response to our emotions (like happiness).

Both the Old Testament and New Testament uses this word in a form of praise from difficult situations:
“May we shout for joy over your victory, and in the name of our God set up our banners.” Psalm 20:5, NRSV
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV

I like the breakdown that some place on joy that we all need:
Jesus

Hey there!
What kinds of things make you think/ tick (keep you going)?
For me, it is connecting with others who share similar experiences and passions!

““God is mighty, but despises no one; he is mighty, and firm in his purpose… If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity and their years in contentment.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭36‬:‭5‬, ‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“God is mighty, but despises no one; he is mighty, and firm in his purpose. He does not keep the wicked alive but gives the afflicted their rights. He does not take his eyes off the righteous; he enth

Hey everyone,
I’m sorry I haven’t been active on this page as much as I possibly could.
But I do want to let everyone know that school is going fairly well through Acadia Divinity College. I am almost done with the degree and will graduate in May 2025.
Work is going well now that I have shifted roles and getting into better routines, both at work and at home.
My spiritual walk is a work in progress, but I do know that God carries us all through anything and everything. These things build our character and competency in whatever we may be called to do for God's service.

What's new with you?!

How is God making things possible for you?

How is God making things possible for you?

“The New Living Translation interprets Luke 1:37 in a unique way, saying, “For the word of God will never fail.” This translation ties God’s relationship to the impossible with His word, reminding us that He can be trusted. He is faithful to keep every promise.

It’s really all about our perspective. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus is talking to His disciples about salvation. The Bible says He looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible” (Matthew 19:26, NLT). “

What does a Holy God look like to you?

“And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!””
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

What do you consider your everything?

My feet may fail me / My hands may shake / My life may crumble / My heart may break / But through the darkness / You are the light / I know forever / You hold my life
-Lincoln Brewster, Everything

“But he replied, “My gift of undeserved grace is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So if Christ keeps giving me his power, I will gladly brag about how weak I am.”
