IMPORTANT NOTICE: Battle of Glengarry War of 1812 Reenactment Date Change

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the planning committee for the 10th annual War of 1812 reenactment have unanimously agreed to change the event date from September 27-29 to September 20-22nd, 2019.

This had to be done in order to ensure that we can deliver the best event experience and the highest level of participation for you.

Please mark and adjust your calendars: The 10th Anniversary of the Battle of Glengarry will be taking place at the Glengarry Pioneer Museum in Dunvegan, Ontario with the Education Day for area schools on Friday September 20, 2019. The Reenactment weekend will be taking place Saturday September 21-22nd, 2019.

We apologize for any inconvenience this date change may cause, yet we believe that the new timing will provide living history reenactors and visitors with the most beneficial experience.

While I play a soldier, I have a market wallet (made myself from cotton ticking) which I keep in my haversack (aka a bread-bag) for use when out shopping at events. My bread bag isn't the biggest and while i can keep my mobile phone, car keys, purse &c out of sight in it, it's not big enough to hide...
