Here are some important considerations for your Wedding Dance Floor Success 💃🏻

1) The Best Throwbacks -> choose songs you grew up with, have fond memories of, and danced to with your closest friends. New memories created!

2) Family Traditions -> this could be of cultural significance, a silly tradition that has been going on for years in your family, or an anniversary dance in ode to your parents or grandparents. Cherished tributes!

3) Slow Dances? -> consider what type of vibe you and your guests are after. Do you have a lot of couples attending? Are you concerned with things slowing down too much? These are good considerations to have. You don’t NEED to have ballads!

4) Late night vs Early night -> there’s typically a considerable difference between early night dancing and late night dancing. Yes, this could be due to the drinks flowing; however, your “older” guests usually appreciate music from the 50’s to 80’s earlier in the night. Let’s make this happen, then hopefully they’ll be loving it so much they’ll stay for the 90’s to current anthems!

5) DJ Approach -> every DJ has their own style & approach in the way they bring guests on a journey through the decades of music. Let’s have you connect with your DJ to understand what works best for your crowd. The possibilities are endless!

6) Guest Requests -> we take these seriously! Saying that, not every guest request is a good one. However, some guest requests can hit the spot just right. It gives us some inside knowledge into your world and what your friends & family appreciate. Great requests means great connection on the dance floor!

Happy 2025, friends! 👋🏼☀️✨

If we haven’t formally met, I’m Mark, the owner-operator here at inTUNE. Thanks for being here, it means a lot. 🙏🏼

I thought I’d start 2025 by sharing my first journal entry of the year. It’s personal, and it’s an honour for me to share with you…

- Appreciate the Journey -

“Focus my energy on the present moment, and experience joy through all the ups & downs.

All this without having expectations for “results”. Everything I do will be based on unconditional love, not placing conditions on anything I place my attention to.

This is all about being “inTUNE” with myself and others around me. It’s about gaining wisdom around who I am, and appreciating and accepting my authentic self without trying to control.

It’s about “being” more, not “doing more”. We live in a world that tells us we need to “do this” and “do that” to achieve greatness. I believe we all need to “do less” to be a greater version of ourselves.”

Happy New Year, friends! ❤️

I'm super focused on staying present as we prepare for a memorable winter & spring season.

We have many in-person appearances coming up, starting next Saturday, January 11th at the Ancaster Wedding Show.

Being based in Niagara Region has given me an entirely new perspective, and it's been exciting meeting new industry friends.

This is the first time you'll properly see inTUNE appearing at a wedding show, and because of this, we're going to have some fun with it.

A message for Matt…

Today is Matt’s final day at inTUNE. He has entertained for NINE full years on our team, and was our longest standing DJ and MC.

Matt has decided to hang up the headphones and retire. Currently, it’s difficult to imagine our team without Matt. He truly was the life blood of our team.

Matt’s the type of guy where after meeting him, you say “I could hang out with that guy!” He was simply a pleasure to be around, and he LOVED serving our clients and their guests at the highest level.

If you knew Matt, or if you’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing his version of entertainment in person, well you knew that he commanded your attention in a room. I secretly had a nickname for Matt. I called him “THE VOICE“. You know exactly what I mean if you’ve ever heard him on the microphone. What. A. Voice!

The best thing about Matt’s approach to weddings was that his passion for taking care of our clients and their guests at the highest level was something that he was so consistent with. It fit SO well with our brand, which is all about client care. He just loved it!

Matt will simply be irreplaceable, period. I’m super excited for Matt’s journey, his incredible family who get to spend more weekend time with him moving forward. And let’s face it, we have nine years of music, memories & incredible stories he shared with our team.

Thank you Matt, for being just the best human, entertaining with such professionalism, and setting such a high standard for our team (and industry) to follow. You truly are a gem. Love ya pal!

Let’s all wish a very happy retirement to Matt!! 😭❤️🍻

Being PRESENT on your wedding day

What does this mean exactly? I’ll break it down for you...

Being present means that you’re fully in each moment, not looking back and not looking ahead, just being. This may seem incredibly difficult to some, but I’m here with some tips for you ;)

Before I share some tips, I want to share a little story with you. I’ve seen many couples not be present on their wedding day, running around trying to fit everything into a small amount of time. To me, if a wedding is properly planned, this should allow you to be completely in the moment. Here’s how...

1. Make sure all important planning elements are taken care of in advance of your day. There’s nothing worse than worrying about a certain vendor or guest doing what they’re supposed to be doing. You want that trust fully there.

2. Be aware of how much you’re drinking. I’m certainly not here to shame anyone. However, it’s proven that drinking can inhibit your ability to be present. It seems exciting in the moment; however, it can impact your memories in the moment.

3. Hire wedding professionals. If you have the right type of wedding vendors for your day hired, there’s no doubt you’ll be taken care of. The work is done, and now it’s your job to enjoy every single glorious moment.

This is why we say we like to create transcendent moments in time by considering every detail. It’s all about you two being in the moment and enjoying every amazing memory that comes your way on wedding day.
