I’m delighted to introduce our new hire today:

Welcome Jennifer Troietto, aka The Wedding Pixie!

I’ve worked alongside Jennifer for MANY weddings over the years, and I’ve seen her experience and attention to detail shine. She’s a full-time certified wedding planner who continues to evolve and streamline processes, and that’s what we’re all about here.

I had to have Jennifer as the wedding planner for my own wedding two years ago. She’s incredible at what she does, and even more an incredible human. I’m honoured to have her join the inTUNE team!

Jennifer’s words:

“I’ve been a full-time planner and coordinator for the past 10 years but I’ve been obsessed with weddings since I was 7. Yes, you read that right, since I was 7! My love for weddings began when I volunteered to be in the church choir for my Grade 2 teacher’s wedding. Every detail from the beautiful blooms to her fairy-tale dress left me with googly-eyes and wanting more!

A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS

I la-la-LOVE red wine, sprinkled donuts, anything and everything Disney, the scent of vanilla, people with positive vibes, daily walks along the beach path (I’ve got to balance out those donuts!), sharpie pens, sticky notes, to-do lists, using happy faces and exclamation points in emails (because I’m just so darn excited) and wandering aimlessly in Indigo. You too? High five!”

How do you react when things don’t go EXACTLY as planned?

Expect this with weddings! We’re all about working closely on all details leading up to your day; however, we also are clear in our communication in setting expectations around having things go exactly as planned.

Are there times when weddings seem to go flawlessly? Absolutely! However, there are many weddings where little things happen - dinner is a few minutes late, a speaker gets nervous and postpones their speech to a later time, the flower girl gets overwhelmed and decides to not walk down the aisle. Whatever happens, let it be!

Your day will be absolutely amazing if you let it!

🚨 JOB ALERT! 🚨

Hey, friends! I'm looking to fill for our P/T Client Care Specialist position. Firstly, this position is for a delightful human who has very strong moral values and lives with integrity. You’re likely a part-time Wedding Planner, Virtual Assistant, or connected to the wedding industry in some capacity, as it's all about the details with us. There are two elements to this role:

1) The most important part of this role, especially throughout our peak wedding season, will be to conduct our client planning meetings, as well as organize our DJ packages to get our DJs/MCs prepared in advance of their wedding assignments.
2) There is also a software element to this role where blogging, using social media, website editing and more will be required. Having software experience is super helpful. We use software such as 17hats, Squarespace, Excel, all the common social media applications like YouTube, Pinterest. Some additional details are as follows:

* 10 hours a week to start.
* Extensive training.
* Days and hours are flexible (we'd work this out together) and you will be working from home.
* Pay to be discussed privately and it's NOT minimum wage.
* You must be a very detail-oriented person and have the wedding experience necessary to fill this unique position.
* Working under pressure and staying calm is an essential asset.

HOW DOES THE DJ FIT ALL OF OUR MUSIC INTO OUR DAY?

Let’s break it down shall we?

1) EXPERIENCE: There’s a trust factor with how the DJ will fit your music into your day. We try and fit as much as we can in, while layering our own selections into the mix.

2) PERSONALIZATION: This could mean taking live requests, planning & executing your important requests, and being attentive to any cues that may happen on the day, for example a guest may reference a story with musical memories in it. We can use this to our advantage in a live setting.

3) PLANNING: Planning is so crucial! We want you to put together a list of important songs, we’ll connect to ensure everything is looking good in advance of your day. We build trust by our approach to playing lots of your music and some of ours too. It’s a formula we’ve mastered over many years entertaining in the wedding industry. This is the whole fun of it to us!
