Okay I may have had too much fun with this week's HTZ Hound. Meet Firecracker, the very appropriately named 11 month old shepherd mix. She is available for adoption from our friends Niagara SPCA & Humane Society who are hoping to Clear the shelters with lowered adoption fees for all shelter dogs older than 5 months.
Now Firecracker still has all her puppy energy, but 11 months is a great age to get a pup. She will be very trainable and I think based on her energy and athleticism, she would do great with an active person who likes hiking, or biking. She may even be a great candidate for agility training if that's something that has always interested you.
