Did you know I get most of my clients from referrals?

Whether it’s from current clients or people who know what I do and recognize a business that could benefit from collaborating with me, referrals are my bread and butter—and I am forever grateful.

That’s why I offer an ongoing referral program! Send someone my way, and if, after the discovery meeting, it’s a good fit and they sign up for either a social media service or website design, I’ll send you a $100 Amazon gift card as a thank-you.

I am currently accepting ONE new client for February and ONE new client for March.

I’m not going to lie… keeping up with my own socials is a struggle. After spending hours brainstorming strategies, scheduling posts, and curating content for clients, my own feed tends to take a backseat...

I decided for the next 30 days, I’m going to post to .with.angela EVERY DANG DAY as an experiment... (and aim to post 3 reels a week -lawrrrrd help me. )

In the end, I will share my results to see how consistency impacts growth, engagement, and connection.

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

When I was a kid, I was always picking up new hobbies—only to lose interest and move on to the next BIG thing.

One time my sister said I was ‘kind of a quitter’ and I replied, “No, I’m a starter.”

That energy has stuck with me ever since.

As a digital marketer, I’ve had the opportunity to work with SO MANY different industries which is amazing, because this satiates my need to ‘start’ new things and feeds my passion for continual learning.

Todays office assistant 🤓

I love working from home, but many days it can get lonely and I often really, REALLY miss Kobe. He was my my little velcro GSD.

One of the hardest parts of moving on from a relationship was the decision for only one of us to have the dog, and at the time, it wasn’t feasible for me to keep him.

I miss him sitting next to me on the couch nudging my leg, while I worked to remind me he was there.

I miss the barely audible whine in his breath, but just loud enough to drive me crazy, hinting that he wasn’t getting enough attention...

I miss taking work breaks to walk him down at three mile, even though he was a bit of a psycho.

I miss hearing him sing along to reel audios when I’d was playing it on repeat too many times while editing.

I just miss him.

So today, it’s nice to have Frank the Tank around while I work. Although, I’ll admit, he’s so cute it’s a bit distracting!

My heart is so full of gratitude for everything this year has brought 🫶🏼 ...

Another day, another beer, another flight ✈️

Many people ask if working while travelling is hard and the answer is no.

Working while travelling allows me to go on longer trips so I feel less panicked to have jam packed days of touring. In fact, I often feel more inspired while travelling so I often am more productive when I am working and more inspired.

This is literally the dream I’ve spent the last 10ish years working toward…. And am grateful everyday I have built a clientele of people whom are so understanding and even encourage me to go ❤️

The biggest challenge is the time difference- I have to stop myself from sending texts to people when they might be sleeping cause it’s 3am back home.

P I V O T

Nothing annoys me more than being told to “pivot.” I’d love to say I’m a “go with the flow” person, but that’s really situational. When I’ve put a specific plan in place aka. the Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo hike, I want to stick to it.

In fact, my entire trip to Portugal was based around doing this hike. Unfortunately, my back had other plans. I had a severe sciatica flare up a week before the trip which makes even walking painful. If you’ve dealt with sciatica pain before you know how debilitating it can be.

But isn’t that how it goes? Life, relationships, business – they don’t always play out the way we want. Sometimes, the master plan goes sideways, and we’ve got to adjust.

One of my favourite things about social media is you can switch things up in a snap, and sometimes, that’s where the magic happens. It’s not always about sticking to the script.

So, while I’m feeling a bit bummed about my trip taking a different turn, I’m trying to see this as a chance to check my ego and learn to pivot.

Life doesn’t always stick to the script but sometimes the magic happens when you learn to roll with the punches. So here I am, learning to PIVOT 🤦🏼‍♀️.

In the meantime, it’s a beautiful place to work 🌸

Yeah baby, that’s one month until it’s backpack on and boots on the ground! I’ll be heading to Portugal and who knows where else… ✈️

✨ What does this mean for my clients? ✨

Pretty much nothing. One of the reasons I’ve pursued the line of work I’m in (and trust me, there are many… I pretty much love everything about what I do) is that I can work remotely from virtually anywhere.

That’s right, even though I won’t be here in Canada, I’ll still be checking emails and working daily while I’m away.

I believe I’ve already touched base with all of you, but this is just a gentle reminder.

As for any potential new clients… I will not be taking on new projects until November, but feel free to reach out to me with your ideas.

As much as I do love summer, it also gets me reviewing my goals for the year and re-evaluating where I’m at. Have I checked off a few? Sure.

Have I gone a little off course this year? Absolutely.

Have you ever heard of the 1 in 60 Rule?

Let me break it down here. If a plane’s heading is 1° off course, it will veer 1 mile off from its destination every 60 miles flown. Easily correctable, but if left unchecked, 1° could become several miles in the wrong direction every hour.

So, small errors can add up, but tiny tweaks can fix them!

We’ve all likely had that dreaded feeling of posting a reel only to get 100 views - but guess what, That is STILL A HUNDRED VIEWS…on YOUR business... imagine being in a room with 100 people?
