ER doctors in Quebec are seeing more and more cases of food poisoning, because they have eaten wild mushrooms that should have been left on the ground.

Taking extra precautions before going out foraging is something Sébastien Royer takes seriously, and is one of the main lessons he tries to impart on participants who sign up for his wild mushroom foraging course at the Massif du Sud regoinal park, in Chaudière-Appalaches..

He answered some questions from Breakaway producer Julia Page who drove up to the Massif for some tips.

Ketchup chips are unique to Quebec and Canada- and harder to get it in the U.S. And that is one of the reasons that convinced a father and son to drive all the way from Fredericksburg, Virginia, to Niagara Falls, Ontario to stock up on some chips.

Rich and Jacob Lieberman have been travelling across the U.S. in a vintage, army jeep named Gertrude for several years now. 15-year-old Jacob is legally deaf and blind. His father says after going on their very first road trip a few years ago... they were hooked.

Revamping the Promenade Samuel-de-Champlain was one of the major projects the city of Quebec launched during the celebrations for its 400th anniversary, back in 2008.
Fifteen years later, the third and final phase of the project was finally inaugurated today. The Station de la Plage offers water games, a public beach with deck chairs and umbrellas, and a vast 1,500 square metre infinity pool overlooking the Saint-Lawrence River.
