Tawni Wilkins, Apprenticeship Advisor with Skilled Trades BC will be on site at the WorkBC Centre-Port Hardy (102-7160 Rupert Street) from 9 am to noon on Wednesday, February 19.

Tawni will be available to meet with apprentices or to answer your trades related questions on a first come first served basis.

Have you met our team? Each month, we feature a team member: Christie Dreger, Comptroller.

Christie Dreger, our longest-serving staff member, joined Community Futures Mount Waddington soon after transplanting to the North Island from the prairies. As Comptroller, she oversees our budgets, audits, and financial planning, the flow of funds. Christie shares her expertise through practical workshops on Bookkeeping, Sage 50 Desktop, and Microsoft Excel, helping local businesses and individuals enhance their financial skills.

Outside of work, Christie enjoys budgeting as a hobby and maintains a spreadsheet to track summer weather statistics before selecting holidays. She volunteers with the Canada Revenue Agency’s Income Tax Volunteer Program, offering her financial skills to the community. Christie also creates an annual sea glass-themed calendar, based on her recent finds.
