Sometimes I can obsess over colour! My wife will see me spend hour after hour basically looking at the same test image sometimes... there is a lot of colour science out there and I've been swimming in those waters for years now. It's a lot of fun. Oh and thanks a huge amount to Peter Istvan Photography for letting me borrow the smaller colour checker classic card... it gave me the missing swatches I needed to fine tune my grade! I'll be done with it soon!

Whispering River Music invited me out once again to document their amazing Summer Solstice Celebration. Here are just a few still-frames from the hour and a half of footage I took. I'm sure they will be sharing a lot of photos, especially the photos with the kids so check their page shortly. The footage is really amazing too so ask them how to see it. I'll be finishing up all the video and audio work this week! Thanks again and looking forward to the next concert!!

I want to help a friend out and digitize some VHS tapes but my VCR is missing. I’m looking to do this myself, so I’m not looking for suggestion to who can do it however I’m wondering if anyone has an old VCR they no longer need. Please let me know. Messaging me; Norman Ross Weichel would be great if you know where I might bet a VCR. Thank you so much!! Also, if this works out and I can actually do this… I can start to offer this as a service to everyone.

The Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy show at the Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts on mother's Day was great!! She's yelling "LET'S GO PARRY SOUND!" at the exact moment this photo was captured! Were you there!? Remember that!? Awesome wasn't it :) PLENTY of other highlights and such an amazing band. Way to go Get Off The Bus Concerts Canada and great job Strings Across the Sky. I was very happy to be invited because I knew it was going to be a special moment for a lot of young musicians.

Here is a photo before the photo haha... a picture of a picture being taken if you will :) YES, I brought my own step-ladder haha :) The external audio recorder was way up close but totally out of the way from everyone and look at me WAY BACK. I got some great wide shots to ensure EVERYONE could get in the shot but also tested my telephoto zoom to get close-up :) THANK YOU Whispering River Music. I recently finished writing and recording/mixing the PSTV Theme music!! I'm likely not going to reveal the theme until the show premieres but I'm working on the pacing of the cut and going over different possibilities for the intro theme footage sequence.

I've had a couple of ideas from story narratives that simply follow someone walking and interacting with the community in fun ways... and another is simply a sequence of people and places in Parry Sound ending with people waving to the camera. Super cheese and SUPER FUN!

I still like the idea of actually following someone, hitting key locations for walking and exploring then going through the downtown!

Any specific locations or business you think might be good to reach out to people while I'm in the early stages of development?

Imagine walking downtown and seeing Mitch outside! He nods to the camera (i need that!) I need to talk to him!! Crossing the street and being thrown flowers by Pardon my Garden ( i need to talk to them) DOING A TWIRL and catching them, seeing someone taking a sip out of the old horse fountain!! THEY PASS THE GUY WITH THE FLOWERS THEIR BIKE, flowers are in the basket and the guy we are following rides past someplace where people are looking at clothes (like Jeans unlimited) and do one of those AWE SHUCKS looks to the camera and so on until the bike is given to someone at the town dock where kids are being given ICE CREAM and the bike is respectively leaned against the building, the kids smell the flowers and the dude jumps in a boat and takes off.

ANYWAY. I have a lot of ideas and I'm just getting the feel for the music and flow of the sequence but the key thing is, incorporate as much as Parry sound as I can in 58 seconds.

Anyone know people and places cool with being apart of this historical Parry Sound event to be immortalized in the PSTV theme intro HAHA :) :)

Polarizer Filter Test

I'd love to film/photograph more cars!! The polarizer filter is like, the best thing to have when filming or photographing cars! Oh, I supose it's good for the sky and water reflections and foliage too ;)
