Many thanks to Wave Weir for hosting our annual "Music for Bert Concert" featuring the work of composers exploring the interface between art and music. It was a grand night - and thank you Weichel Productions for this really beautiful still. It captures the warmth and connectedness of the evening so well - thank you to all the composers - MIchelle Lorimer, Danial Sheibani ( winner of 2024 annual commission) Saman Shahi Morehead, and Verbree and to our special guests - Phil Morehead and Fabián Arciniegas Voice and Studio. A special thank you to all the canoeing musicians ( and concert master) who give us so much time and care, to our summer students who grew beautifully into playing this concert so very well, our section leaders Alex Andrews Music Sonia Klimasko Leheniuk and concert master Veda Hingert-McDonald, who played truly beautifully, and Emma and Kurit - our extra-special special helpers in the violin section, from all of us here - Shannon Lai, Brenda and Arianna.

Sometimes I can obsess over colour! My wife will see me spend hour after hour basically looking at the same test image sometimes... there is a lot of colour science out there and I've been swimming in those waters for years now. It's a lot of fun. Oh and thanks a huge amount to Peter Istvan Photography for letting me borrow the smaller colour checker classic card... it gave me the missing swatches I needed to fine tune my grade! I'll be done with it soon!

Whispering River Music invited me out once again to document their amazing Summer Solstice Celebration. Here are just a few still-frames from the hour and a half of footage I took. I'm sure they will be sharing a lot of photos, especially the photos with the kids so check their page shortly. The footage is really amazing too so ask them how to see it. I'll be finishing up all the video and audio work this week! Thanks again and looking forward to the next concert!!

I want to help a friend out and digitize some VHS tapes but my VCR is missing. I’m looking to do this myself, so I’m not looking for suggestion to who can do it however I’m wondering if anyone has an old VCR they no longer need. Please let me know. Messaging me; Norman Ross Weichel would be great if you know where I might bet a VCR. Thank you so much!! Also, if this works out and I can actually do this… I can start to offer this as a service to everyone.
