FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY UNTIL 7:00 pm at Maffeo Sutton park Nanaimo.

Just feasted on the CLASSIC grilled cheese at Jacks grilled cheese and the owners knocked it out of the park …. So PORKIN delicious with the SLICED HAM and The perfectly crafted bread to make this the killer griller. AND you can get the tomato bisque soup dipper ….. when will it stop omg ….. way too delicious

also chowed down on the maple bacon mini donuts from Donairnutz with the musical stylings of “the Cambie” and “the Casino” two dynamic owners of this truck. I’m heading back to the park for an early dinner to partake of the feasting with some of the other units.

ROUND TWO ….. DING DING DING

Then it was off to see Tamara at THE STEEL PAN with their delicious traditional “doubles” a chick pea and tamarind super mix on two tasty bread shells. It was a great surprise

Ohhhhh AND HOLY FORK - THE FINAL STOP was to see Danielle and Ashley at the van isle poutinerie for the belly busting maple bacon poutine …. Created with the finest fresh cut taters, super squeaky cheese curds, perfectly prepared bacon bits and just the right amount of sloppy sauce.

HELL YES THERE WAS EXTRENE FEASTING because that’s what food truck Friday’s are all about

GET THERE and if not today ……SIX TRUCKS will be there Saturday as well

Frustration grows for me when not long ago, I was able to get some decent deals still on fast start Charcoal, kingsford charcoal, lump charcoal etc.

COAL VENDORS ARE GOUGING. They have made the bags smaller and pounded the pricing up at least 4-5 times over the last 12-18 months. It’s total BS

Bags on top were 8.99 in late 2022 and the bottom row were running at about 14.99

Just another example of so many items creating the big spend for a family food outing or business using these items. The ramifications of inflation allows many manufacturers a chance to add extra profit and they can blame the politicians While they fatten their own bottom line.

I never criticize for needed increases, but when slightly larger bags are selling for $35.00 & $42.00 then there is something really stinky going on out there.

Mount Arrowsmith Brewing Company for the win. Maverick the brisket eating pound hound and The Bacon Boss are rocking the patio preparing for covert Easter egg deliveries to an undisclosed address.

It would be a very hard job to find a better blended ice mocha coffee drink ….. than the one made at Serious Coffee. So damn tasty and that visual touch as well.
For anyone that is serious about the best of things.
Be sure to ask for blended or it will come poured over ice ….. just from past experience

GRILLED CHEESE DELICIOUSNESS ……The very best grilled cheese sandwich is most times created by adding bacon, smoked ham, shredded cheese, etc

The true secret however is to cook the bacon then use THAT SAME PAN with a light layer of grease to grill your bread in. All four pieces down - add toppings and cover…… Don’t get rid of the grease

After 5-6 minutes combine the sandwich together and cover once again. When you’re close to happy, turn off the burner and leave the sandwiches covered for more meltdown

If you’re not paying into the gas tax, then much needed road repair revenues are not being topped up. However, there is always a way to level the playing field. Although I hate taxes, I always support fair and even process. What are your thoughts on this ?

my adventure with EXTREME EATZ FOOD TRUCK. Built in Surrey BC, operated in the mid island Oceanside area of BC. EE was Creator of the extreme menu of the day.

So happy to see the brand lives on within a fantastic family business that has taken it to new levels. It was such a fun time in my life…. We did catering events for up to 250, intimate back yard weddings, sporting events, car shows and more. Big ass events with 50+ person line ups and then there was the very cool corporate events. I had help from some great staff over the years … it was a blast

Several pounds of extreme sandwich on a giant round custom made bun with one pound of bacon, 3.5 pounds ham, 1 pound aged cheddar cheese and so much more. If you ate it yourself in 30 minutes we would drive you to emergency and give you a shirt. It was never conquered. At least 30 people attempted.
