Gloomy days call for blueberry scones 🫐 Scones are always best consumed fresh while hot and still crispy on top. I love brushing scones with egg wash and sprinkling coarse sugar on top. If you turn your sound up, you can hear the crispy top too! And, I love adding homemade lemon curd onto fruity scones. Welcome to Baby H’s nursery, our favourite room in the house ♥️ We were extremely lucky that the previous owners of our house already had a light green paint on the walls and it happened to be the colour we wanted for the nursery. We love our dark wood furniture and wanted to incorporate that into the room design. Cameron’s parents had kept his baby crib + matching dresser set. So we worked around the dresser colour when sourcing other furniture. It’s one of the sentimental pieces in the nursery because it means a lot to the family.

Of course we went with a woodland theme because we both absolutely love nature and being outdoors. We had a blast putting up all the wall decals and we’re still missing baby’s name sign (to go above the change table). We love our rocking chair from @structube and our bookshelf + side table from @artemanodecor ♥️

Lychee dragonfruit mochi, made to look just like dragonfruit. I used @nytcooking ‘s sweet mochi recipe and subbed in lychee juice instead of water to make these. Because lychee juice is already a bit sweet, I skipped the extra sugar. I did add a bit of pink food gel to get the vibrant pink colour 🧧♥️

Best to eat these straight away or the same day you make them! The dragonfruit is definitely a more watery filling and the mochi exterior won’t be able to contain it for more than a day. Honestly, a quick and easy dessert recipe for anyone looking to make some LNY treats.
