On June 16 five years ago, we said our final goodbye to O’Town’s MC.

We know, however, that it’s only a temporary goodbye for we will surely see him again sometime in the future.

We will miss him physically, but he’ll always be there with us spiritually.

Join us for Keertan, Ardaas and Langar on Sunday June 16th, 2025 as we remember his wonderful smile, and legacy he left behind that so many of you are carrying on with heartfelt sincerity.

Join us for Nāvarūpa on Sunday May 12th, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm!

Stuti Mukherjee invites you to Harold Shenkman Hall, Shenkman Arts Center, Ottawa, on Sunday, May 12th, 2024, from 2 to 4 pm. I will present Nāvarūpa alongside nine other talented South Asian artists.

“Nava-rupa” is a Sanskrit term that depicts the “nine forms” or “nine appearances” of Devi, the Mother Goddess, in Hindu mythology. Nāvarūpa has been a dream project, made possible through the funding provided by the Articipate 2023 grants, the Equity and Inclusion in the Arts Fund/SEED Award 2022 by the City of Ottawa, and the continued support of the Shenkman Arts Theatre.

For Nāvarūpa, Suti has brought together nine talented South Asian artists based in Canada: Aishwarya Vijaykumar, Anita Pandey, Divyalakshmi Iyer, Anjana Srinivasan, Luxmanan Wakisan, Nish*tha Alex, Radhika Pillai, Ragamalika Mohanraj, Swathi Sreedharan, and Vishaka Ghosh. They will be joined by a guest artist, Shri Kasi Aysola from the US, for the first time in Ottawa, he will be the highlight performer for the evening, presenting Kuchipudi.

Nāvarūpa will showcase Devi’s nine forms/manifestations. The event will feature five primary South Asian dance forms: Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Mohiniattam, and Kuchipudi. Dr. Rashmi Venkateshwaran(from The Great India Festival) will be the Master of the Ceremony for this evening.
