This fast-paced, action-packed sport has been played by Indigenous Peoples for thousands of years! I didn’t know a lot about this sport before diving into this story on the captain of the Vernon Tigers 2 years ago. Jacob Brewer, his step dad Casey and former Splatsin First Nation Chief Wayne Christian filled me in though and I absolutely loved the story I created.
