One of the most asked questions on Tiktok… do you have to niche down in order to grow your TikTok profile? I absolutely believe that you need to niche down for 3 main reasons.

1. By sticking to one niche you are becoming an authority or an expert, the go to person, the reliable ____ in that specific topic. As soon as you become an authority figure in your niche your audience will start listening to you more and you will receive more engagement. You will also be more reliable and people will trust you more leading to actual sales.
2. It will help you rank higher in search results. If you have a niche you will be searchable on the platform and your videos will be found easier (as long as you are using the proper tools and strategies like SEO)
3. Brands will want to work with you which gives you more credibility. A niched account has a target audience. Brands will work with you if your target audience will buy their product. If your content is random, then so is your audience and it will be too risky for a brand to work with you.

By doing this you are starting conversations and what this does is creates and establishes relationships with your audience. This is how you create a community which is way more important than going viral. You will always have people that disagree with you or don’t like you, but focus on the people who do like and resonate with you. They are the people you will help.

Once you create these connections you will find yourself getting excited to show up on camera. Excited to make taking head videos. Excited to help your community.
