I married this guy 14 years ago. I think this is the most recent picture of us together - from last summer! We need more pictures together. Anyway, happy anniversary to my husband, dad to our kids and our menagerie, who knows how to keep the summertime rolling and the flowers blooming.

A friend gifted me a massive box of buttons, and I’ve been sorting and cleaning them. Many are plastic, some are made from shells. They have a quaint 1970s vibe, and when they are clean and sorted, they feel like pirates treasure. I wonder about the lives of the women whose buttons ended up in front of me, and about how we treasure things sometimes, but they go unused.

This is my sweet little Bunbun. She likes to come hang out on the couch and is the perfect balm to a sore spirit. She is a gentle soul.

When I’m not teaching visual design at CapU or doing client work - Sundays are for SEWING! I spend most Sundays sewing with the kiddos at Young Artists’ Place. They are fearless, and inspire me to experiment. There are summer sewing camps too - we always have a theme, but the biggest piece of learning is: it’s okay to make mistakes, and it’s empowering to learn from them, and there’s nothing better in life than being ourselves.

I love this tree just off the deck. It brings so much beauty into the morning here. The delicate petals vary in colour from bright pink to pure white satin.

Today the IDEA School of Design was the recipient of a large number of illustration and design books, as well as some classic Letraset, from the library of Michael Pacey of by his son and business partner, Robert. We are humbled by this generous gift, made in memory of your father. I am sure the students will make good use of them.

It’s a peppermint unicorn puppet! Sundays, I like sewing with the kids. They are fearless, and learn so much so fast.

The footage was shot just before the pandemic shut everything down, and so we were not able to shoot our B roll in the timeframe allowed. This led to a simpler outcome than originally planned along with some pivots accomplished in editing. Without further ado, here is the short form of "This Is Not a T-shirt" edited down for IG Reels.
