……”My art allows my heart to joyfully sing and like a conduit, I spill onto my canvas, sharing the energy with nature, people, surroundings and the universe. Why force anything in life when moving forward by your intuition allows you to receive the greatest of gifts. That is how I create my best and most original artwork… by being aware, open and receptive to creation through my magic-eye”
WHY I DO ART
I’m my most joyful, strong and courageous and I feel in the right place---like a knowing, when I create my art. I also know, and a few times have been lured by the fact, that there are easier ways of making money …yet, those other ways are painful compared to the feeling I have when I create my art. Another reason is that I believe it is a gift, in the way that I feel chosen to be a conduit-----much of my work is not for me but for someone else who sees it, identifies with it and wants it---must have it because it is theirs personally from inception. That’s why I create art----especially the art where I say “I’m being true to myself as an artist”. WHAT INSPIRES ME
I am most inspired when my heart is open and receptive to allowing my canvas to create itself. As in life, when control is released, the gifts appear and inspire. The greatest gift is the unlimited creativity and a knowing that I am true to myself as an artist. I’ve been asked: “Your head must be so full to do the art you do”---my answer to this is: “Actually, it is when my mind is emptied that creativity comes---this is when I am most joyful”. My inspirations as expressed in my various art series:
• LOVERS—the energy shared among people and the essence of people. I humbly and respectfully appreciate this privilege to witness and portray.
• ROCK ‘N PINE/Sceneries ---- focus on one tree among the forest.—my recognition of the importance of individualism. I try to live my life this way.---I like myself best when I do.
• MAGIC EYE----allowing my heart to sing and be true to myself as an artist----completely allowing the universe to spill onto my canvas
• TEA PARTY GIRLS and LADIES---in celebration of friendship and those who support their loved ones unconditionally on earth and from heaven
• SPIRIT FLOWERS----Sharing energy, listening and connecting with nature’s personality, uniqueness and messages
• EARTH ANGELS---recognizing kindness, goodness and light of people around us
• WHITE MAN LISTENING---The aboriginal cultural beliefs and the respect and appreciation in healing the earth and its inhabitants. Anne-Denise Mejaki
