Looking to keep your backyard birds healthy, happy, and hanging around this winter?

Give them what they need!

High energy treats like
🥜 peanut halves
🥜 black oil or chipped sunflower seeds
🥜 suet, particularly suet with insects or peanut butter
🥜 sugar-water
are a great source of energy for birds.

Sheltered areas like
🌲 evergreen trees and shrubs
🌲 brush piles
🌲 roosting boxes or nesting boxes
offer safe, secure areas to hide in during particularly cold or nasty weather.

Water sources like
💧 shallow trays or dishes
💧 bird baths
💧 or access to a nearby pond or stream
are especially helpful when the cold freezes most other available water supply.

Offering one or all of these to your backyard birds can make the winter easier on them, and attract them to visit your backyard all winter long!
