Station 2 Vancouver - engine 2
Downtown Palm Springs was busy during my time down there. Anyone saying that town rolls up early at night obviously doesn’t spend any time down there
MILFORD FIRE DEPARTMENT enjoyed meeting up with the crew from Milford Community Fire department last night. A great bunch of folks and also a busy crew for sure. This is a one station department managing approximately 2300 calls in 2022. Full medical coverage for area plus all the bells and whistles known to other community stations. Daytime staffing is 13 and evenings are 6-7 depending on the day. This is a hard core Seagrave fire engine house which was the engine of choice by the Chief and past chiefs. The 1943 engine was still operating as a fire truck up until the early 70’s and it is MINT. One of the most beautiful restored trucks I’ve seen so far throughout the USA. There’s also a 2002 back up engine, 2012 front line engine and 2008 truck (ladder) thank you to Walt Ritchie 16 years FF/EMS for the tour Jeff LT, Mikes District Chief, Wes FF EMS, Braden FF EMS, Rylan FF EMS & Paten the newest cadet on board.
Blue Angels on a close up four plane formation. You can’t hear the sound the way it really was on the ground. It blew your cowboy hat off lol 😂
CAL FIRE - SANTA CLARA COMPOUND in Morgan Hill California. Lots of info to follow after my visits today and secondary phone interview Wednesday.
Great visit today. and the significance of this song coming on when I was ready to do the driving tour was …….. that we had just talked a lot about the number of women working at Cal Fire and the backbreaking work of 12-16 hour days they put in.
They rip it up and I know they would outwork me in that environment. It’s by far one of the most physically demanding jobs one can do on the front lines of a hand crew. I salute every single one of these firefighters for having what it takes.
Rooftop Venting for this Heavy Rescue Squad from Clackamas Fire near Portland Oregon. According to the cut man, the fire was intensely hot as they evacuated down the ladder. This is their bread and butter at this department and they vent this way most times, however, many departments I’ve spoken to choose to opt for secondary venting into the roof through the crown peaks on the sides into the attic
The west coast never disappoints when it comes to keeping you focused. I know now that I must find Big Foot and his family, so we can enjoy some tacos together.
