What exactly does our community policing do? seems like they are tooo casual, or not taking public safety seriously. they have a van, why not use it. have a team of Community Policing Units out and about to prevent fires, overdoses and crime.

Did a tour thru downtown nanaimo Saturday March 19. Every weekend our city is under siege. The mayor doesnt see the degrading of our downtown commerce and the decline of of tourists public safety. Note pics are censored/blurred to reduce the blowback from the public.

Where should Nanaimo establish a Rehab & Treatment Facility?
We have four potential locations.
Corner of Franklin & Shelby The robbins parking lot currently sits at this location.

Nanaimo should make a decision, now, rather than later!

Paramedics & Mental Health Encourage Treatment & Rehab to Transients.
I Have seen the Community Paramedic unit throughout nanaimo and Parksville, however I have not seen them at any of the transient hangouts or squats Where are they? Why are they not teamed up with Mental Health Units? As we already know, many of these transients are unwell, mentally ill and not to forget, the narcotic addicts that are mingling with these groups and supporting bad decisions. This is why fires, crime and vandalism have increased.

Bus/Ferry Transients to Vancouver for treatment & Rehab Opportunities.
The hard core question that everyone should consider asking themselves as a city tax payer... To bus and ferry the nanaimo transient groups to facilities that are on the mainland in the Vancouver area. Nanaimo Cant Help them!
Give these transients the option to get immediate treatment and rehab, or stay in nanaimo and possibly end up dying on the streets, being casualties of drug overdoses or beatings from the otherwise known frustrated communities and neighborhood property owners.
By the way that statement was not a threat, that is the hard core reality. Nanaimo ‘s Mayor Leonard Krog refuses to act or help these transients he received funds from the government and still wont do anything proactively. He would rather erect a fence around local nanaimo parks or other troubled areas that the squatters have taken siege

Anti Panhandling Measures, Bylaws & Signage Downtown Nanaimo & Area.
Panhandling has become worse over the past few years. It started as a kind gesture from our caring neighborhood and downtown business communities. To date it has become a very dangerous social issue.

One must take the statement that feeding the wildlife or wild animals, they will come back with a vengeance. It has already turned ugly for Vancouver where robberies have lead to assaults or carjackings.

You may see panhandlers at any high volume traffic areas or intersections in nanaimo. All it takes is for them to walk out in front of your vehicle, and its game over… meaning you could be charged, sued or other. A simple accident could turn ugly. Its best drivers lock your doors and windows when approached by a panhandler

Our current justice system is failing. lets admit it, that the justice system on life support. Its on a very thin thread that could break at any time. The possibility of vigilantism is right at the threshold. one mistake from our governments decision will cause the vigilantism movement to occur.
