Sexual violence in professional soccer is consistently swept under the rug as talent and skill are prioritized over justice. Thomas Partey and Mason Greenwood are just two of many examples of professional soccer players who are saluted for their performances, rather than facing the repercussions of sexual assault allegations. Contributor Zoe Laxton analyzes the ways in which the fame of professional sport allows abusers to evade responsibility.

There must be a paradigm shift in Quebec’s healthcare education to incorporate Indigenous and other marginalized voices in order to work towards healthcare that is beneficial and accessible to all.

On Oct. 18, the Superior Court of Quebec held a hearing on a new injunction request put forth by McGill seeking to extend restrictions on campus protests. The hearing was held on the same day that McGill’s 10-day injunction barring SPHR and anyone aware of the judgement from protesting on campus under certain circumstances was set to expire. Justice Gary Morrison dismissed the request, writing that McGill had not demonstrated that the past activities of SPHR are “sufficient to constitute urgency.”
