So, for its 54th anniversary (Sept. 18), and in honour of Ozzy Osbourne getting inducted, for the second time, into the R&R Hall of Fame, Randy Renaud revisits the story behind the seminal heavy metal album, Paranoid by Black Sabbath. This afternoon at 2 on the Chronicles of Rock.

Quebec's Minister responsible for Consumer Protection tabled a bill on Thursday that would require retailers to calculate tips based on the price before taxes. For example, on a restaurant bill of $100 before tax, proposed tips will be calculated on the $100 and not on $114.98 after tax.

Jon Bon Jovi and his team saved the life of a woman when they talked her down from a ledge on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Nashville on Tuesday. Bon Jovi was shooting a video for their song "The People’s House" on the public bridge when they noticed a woman standing on the other side of the ledge holding on to its railing. More at CHOM.com.

Congratulations to Emilie Myette who won 'Dr. Feelgood' by Motley Crue on vinyl and fifty bucks to spend at Aux 33 Tours! There are many guests on this album, including Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, members of Skid Row, and Bryan Adams! After all, the album was recorded at his studio in Vancouver.

Next weekend on CHOM's Classic Vinyl Sunday, we'll celebrate the 30th anniversary of 'Day for Night' by The Tragically Hip by playing the album in its entirety on the turntable.
