Drone Speed Ramp (Test Only)
(Test Only) Using some lousy drone footage I took on a grey boring day to apply some speed ramping and subtle motion blur.
Justin Trudeau was heckled out of a restaurant in Vancouver's Chinatown by Free Palestine protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. What do you think? Is it good in a democracy that protesters are able to get this close to a sitting Prime Minister to speak their message to power? Or is his security simply too weak? And what do you think of Justin Trudeau? Do you like him or dislike him? #protesters #justintrudeau #primeminister #isrealpalestineconflict

Yes indeed! That's a Rode Pod Mic and a Rodecaster Pro mixing board that I'm using here.
And how about you? Have you ever used either one of these? If yes, what do you think? And if not, what do you use for your podcasting needs?
On a side note, and just in case you're wondering, I used the Canva app to remove the background from the original photo and add in that animated TV studio background.
😃👍🏼🎬
Canva this and Canva that.
This is a simple portrait of me and my fugly face. I shot the photo in front of my new fashion grey seamless paper backdrop. Then I used Canva to add an outline. I figured this way my otherwise boring photo might attract some additional eyes on the Instagram feed.
What do you think? And let me know, have you ever used Canva for your graphic designs?
My Seamless Paper Backdrop
Here is my video studio setup using my new fashion grey seamless paper backdrop.
What do you think?
Finally received the roll of fashion grey seamless backdrop paper that I had ordered last month. It will be very helpful for all of my upcoming photo and video projects.
Have you ever used seamless backdrop paper? And if so, which colour?
My Photo Backdrop
New post on my Instagram: President_Jade
Now, which one do you prefer? The dark background or the one with some light?
And yes, I definitely need to get myself a roll of seamless background paper to replace the wrinkled muslin backdrop that I am currently using.
I also included a quick timelapse video that I made setting up my backdrop. To create this timelapse I used the Lifelapse app. Feel free to visit my Instagram if you'd like to see it.
Finally, I used Canva to create a short looping video of the two photos together and to add text behind my head on the second photo. Since videos and animated photos are supposed to be more eye-catching on a social media feed compared to static photos, I am anxious to see if this will result in more engagement.
Now, feel free to send me a DM if you have any questions. And again, please let me know by leaving a comment below whether you prefer the photo with the dark background or the one where the background is lit?
How is your day going?
I like this photo of me. And instead of posting it as a simple static photo, I easily removed the background using Canva Pro and added in some different murals.
In my opinion it makes it more dynamic and colourful. Although, I'm plenty enough dynamic and colourful on my own. Do you see what I did there? It's called self-love and I really do indeed love myself, LOL! Actually, I hope that you love you too!
Now, out of curiosity, have you ever used Canva? Let me know by leaving a comment below.

This is a quick design that I made using Canva. I wanted to test the direct share to Facebook feature, so here it is and hopefully it works.
Have you ever used Canva?
Personally I absolutely love it! And I highly recommend that you give it a try if you want to design some awesome graphics for your social media, etc.
Are you afraid of heights? Because I am. And every time that I fly my DJI Mini 2 drone high in the sky I get a little case of acrophobia.
In this shot I sent the drone straight from where I was at the Kondiaronk Belvedere towards the Place Ville Marie building (which is 47-storeys high in case you were wondering).
Yes, I do need to practice my drone piloting skills some more. But this flight was still fun, exciting and definitely worth it. After all, Montreal is a beautiful city and I am very fortunate to be able to capture it on video from high above.
What do you think? Have you ever flown a drone above Montreal? Or maybe the thought of doing so is too scary for you?

When is the last time you played a game of tennis?
For me it was thirty years ago before I finally hit the court once again. Yes, I was 13 years old back then and there was no such thing as Snapchat Spectacles to capture the play from my point of view.
Time has definitely flown by so quickly and so much has changed since then. But there is one thing that hasn't changed. And that's the game of tennis. Because it's a sport that will always be fun to play, right?

How have you been? Doing well I hope!
Now here is the studio light that I used to take a photo of super beautiful Marie.
And I just posted that exact photo of her on my Instagram page.
So feel free to check it out and give it a big fat like!

Alright! I hope that you are doing well during these extremely difficult times caused by the coronavirus pandemic?
Yes? No?
The grocery store that I usually go to after work was closed earlier than usual, and so I had to order a pizza at a nearby restaurant. And while I was waiting for my pizza, I spontaneously and quickly produced this cinemagraph (photo with subtle movement). And yes, I did it for your entertainment while you are undoubtedly isolated at home and spending more time on Instagram than usual.
Now, just in case you are wondering, I used an app on my iPhone to create that emergency light on my dashboard.
In fact, now that I recently started a new sideline as a restaurant delivery driver, I'm starting to think that all delivery drivers should have emergency lights. That is because our work has now become an essential service during the current COVID-19 situation.
Do you agree? Have you had to order food since the pandemic began?
Now, it would be really appreciated if you could give this photo a like, or leave a comment.
There simply aren't any excuses anymore. No, you're not travelling. No you're not concentrating on your career. And no you dont have any school assignments to complete.
Just like me, you are sitting at home isolated with nothing to do other than to like this photo, whether you like it or not. So just do it already! LOL!
Happy Friday! Hope that you are doing well! Yes? No?
This is a photo of me sitting in front of my new LED light panel with barn doors. To tell you the truth, I bought the light just for the barn doors tho.
And I know that you'd love to have an LED light panel with barn doors as well. And that you are secretly jealous of me, right? Come on! Just admit it!
Now, just in case you are wondering, I used the Enlight Pixaloop app to add a subtle 3D camera motion effect to the original photo.
What do you think? Do you like it?
Now, even if you are jealous that I have an LED light panel with barn doors, this should not stop you from giving this photo a like. LOL!
Again, happy Friday to you! And I hope that you have an awesome weekend!
It is said that hard work pays off! Do you agree?
In this case I worked very hard to create this cinemagraph. And I am more than pleased with the outcome.
Feeling a little exhausted after the evening shift at work, I went out to shoot some video with the goal of making this Instagram Post. At first I didn’t feel like it. I kept telling myself that it was almost midnight and a little too late to go out for some nighttime photography. But, instead of procrastinating, I rolled-up my sleeves, gathered my photography equipment, put on my shoes, and the rest is history. And today, I have created content that I am very proud of.
Now, instead of posting one cinemagraph here on Instagram, I decided this time to post three onto a 4:5 frame. Simply because this format fills more of the viewer's smartphone screen as opposed to a 16:9 or 1:1 frame.
What do you think? Do you like it? And out of the three anamorphic images, which of my poses to you like best?
For those who may be interested, I shot the video for this cinemagraph with my iPhone 7+ using the FiLMiC Pro app and my Moondog Labs anamorphic lens. The Flixel Blendeo app was then used to simulate a long exposure with a 1/4 sec. shutter speed . That is what creates the light trails seen with each passing car. And as usual, I used the Flixel Cinemagraph Pro app to turn it all into a cinemagraph (a photo with movement).
