Meet the field director of the two “Cherokee Riders: We Remember” episodes of our series Warrior Up ! Rory Crittenden/ᎤᎵᏍᎦᏂ is a screenwriter, filmmaker, documentarian and a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. Rory is a Tulsa-based filmmaker and Cherokee history enthusiast. He, his crew and host Anna Lambe travelled across a big swath of the southern US following and documenting the five Remember the Removal Riders for our series! A 2022 Firelight Media SPARK Fund recipient, Rory’s been a fellow in Native American Media Alliance labs and a 2024 Nantucket Film Festival finalist. We were delighted to have him help shape the final episodes of the season!

Chris Peck is a writer, producer, director, and cinematographer with a degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Chris has collaborated with major YouTubers like the King of Random and worked in diverse productions, from Hollywood sets to documentaries. We were fortunate to have him field direct with us on the episode Isaac Garcia: It’s All Relative! He put his documentary skills to use following Isaac to journalism camp, to his job at Indigenous Roots café and out onto the streets to capture Isaac and his family distributing Blessing Bags to unhoused Minnesotans. Passionate about New Media, Chris aims to continue creating impactful content with limited resources while evolving in the world of untraditional media.

Last week, our talented team hit the road for an exciting shoot with Novocap at their HQ in Brossard, QC. We brought a 3-camera setup to life for podcast-style interviews right in their boardroom.
It was a pleasure to collaborate and create a studio feel in their space—always rewarding to bring stories to life!

Next in our Warrior Up! Directors' Profile series is none other than David Finch!
Of Cree/Ojibwe and European heritage, David is a co-founder of Picture This, series producer of Warrior Up! and also field-directed two episodes of the series - Rylee Nepinak: Taking Anishiative, and Kyrstin Dumont: Gorgeous Diversity. With over 30 years of experience in documentary filmmaking, David's work has earned awards at Hot Docs, Dreamspeakers, the Yorkton and Columbus Film Festivals. When not on location or in an edit suite, you can find David sharing his knowledge with the next generation of filmmakers as an instructor at Champlain College's Film & New Media program, and the Sundance Institute's Collab program.
