I’m so happy to be back behind a microphone after 4 long weeks of recovery and rehab post surgery.

Hudson Porchfest was an amazing experience. From the organizers, to the volunteers and all the porches and performers, I truly adored my time with you all. Big shoutout to Alibi Lounge who hosted me, and the other acts with whom I shared their stage.

We strongly believe this to be true.

Nous croyons fortement, et l’appliquons a notre façon de faire et raison d’être.

I have 4 rules for treating my musicians, and learned most of my session skills by studying Chet Atkins and George Richie.

1. Pay them early or ahead of time. They work better when they aren’t worried about anything other than music.

2. Buy their lunch.

3. Don’t hire a musician who is flaky or has a bad attitude. If you get to do this for a living, and you’re a negative person, you’re just a bad human.

4. Tell them how good they are, because if they’re there they are better than you’ll ever know.
