So I visited my fiancee's parents yesterday. That was my third time of visiting them this month.

The first day I paid them a visit, I had gone with my fiancee, Monica. They had welcomed me warmly and offered me a seat in the livingroom.

But while sitting on their torn sofa, I had stuck my hand into one of the holes at impulse and was surprised to find some money folded and hidden in there.

I quickly grabbed the money and put in my pocket without anyone noticing me.

The money was about 3k

The second time I paid them a visit, I did same thing and also discovered another folded money hidden in the sofa and I collected it. This one was about 5k

So yesterday, I decided to pay them another visit, and this time I went without Monica. The couple were surprised to see me again.

Meanwhile, Monica's father had been the person hiding that money in the sofa, and when he could not find it anymore, he had blamed it on his wife.

So immediately I was ushered in, I rushed and sat on the sofa that always had the free money. We began to discuss and as usual, I slide my palm into the same hole unnoticed, but instead of grabbing money, something grabbed my fingers.

Lady allegedly beaten to death by patrons for picking money in a nightclub - her co**se dumped in a swimming pool in Anambra

A lady identified as Chinyere Awuda has been reportedly found dead as her corps was dumped in a hotel’s swimming pool in Awka, Anambra State.

According to Uloka Chibuike on Twitter, the deceased had on Saturday, July 16, attended Club Mila, a nightclub reportedly owned by Cosmila Hotels, where one Mr. Gabriel Chinemere and his friends allegedly assaulted her.

Daily Post reports that one of the clubbers accused her of picking money which the fun seekers were spraying on their friend who was a birthday celebrant. “Some others said she did not only pick money, but went for bundles of money, which a clubber stacked by his seat side, waiting to spray on the celebrant,” a source said.

However, despite efforts made by other people in the club to rescue her from the hands of Mr. Gabriel and his friends, they continued to beat Chinyere even in the presence of the club’s manager, Steven Junior, who allegedly asked the club’s security guards and bouncers to stand down and instead turn off the lights while the girl was assaulted.

It is reported that she was b£aten to death, her lifeless body dragged outside and dumped into an abandoned swimming pool belonging to the hotel. Upon receiving the tragic news, Chinyere’s relatives stormed the hotel only to find her corps in the abandoned swimming pool.

The unfortunate incident had since been reported to the Anambra State Police for further investigation. The police spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident and said the birthday celebrant and his friends were already in police custody while the case was being investigated.

Two siblings d!e after fence from a neighboring compound collapsed into their apartment

Two siblings identified as Rakib and Mujib Atolagbe have been confirmed d€ad after the fence of a neighboring building collapsed on their house at Alao Street, Isawo, in the Ikorodu Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, July 22.

The fence gave way during the heavy downpour that happened in the state. The bodies of the two siblings aged 9 and 7, were recovered after hours of being trapped in debris amidst rescue efforts by residents of the area.

The spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency, South-West, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the incident in a statement released.

A domestic servant has allegedly k!lled his employer with a pestle in Awka, Anambra State capital.

The deceased, Chima Anolue, a lecturer at the Psychology Department at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, was attacked with the pestle when a fight ensued between him and the domestic staff.

It was gathered that the incident happened on Friday night, July 14, 2023, at Ifite village in Awka.

The suspect was also said to have bruised the deceased’s body with a knife after he became unconscious to make it look as if he was attacked by a third party, Punch reported.

According to sources, the suspect was captured by the local security and confessed to repeatedly hitting his late boss with a pestle after he asked him why he hadn't done his household duties.

However, when he refused to answer, Chima sl@pped him, which led to a fight, where he later fatally attacked his boss.

“When he came back, he told me to cook rice. And as I was cooking the rice, he asked me why I did not wash plates. I did not reply. He then asked why I wasn’t responding to his question,” the suspect said.

“In the process, he sl@pped me. But I told him I usually have ear problems, and that people don’t slap me. As I was saying that, he angrily asked if I was still talking while he was talking. And therefore, he sl@pped me again and brought out cane and started flogging me all over,”

"Then in the process, I got angry, and we started fighting. It was also in the process of that fight that I picked up the pestle in the kitchen and hit him on the head.”

During interrogation, the suspect who first denied k!lling his master, later confessed to the crime after he was thoroughly beaten when his moves became suspicious.

A family source said, “While friends and relatives of the deceased were taking him to the hospital that night for medical attention after the encounter, the suspect was attempting to choke him to d£ath right inside the vehicle where he was sitting close to him allegedly to conceal his atrocious acts. It was in the process that we discovered what was going on and therefore we started suspecting him."

In a recent interview, Asake narrates how Olamide signed him.

I did not even know that Olamide will sign me. Him being on my song made me know 2022 is already great. A week after I dropped the song, Olamide called me to come to his house. I did not even know what to wear, I felt like Olamide might not like black, white or anything 😆. I was wearing and changing.

When I got to the house Olamide was like
“Asake, will you like to join YBNL“?
I quickly said yes and was happy. He brought out documents, I wanted to sign, he was like “Nooooooo, Go home, get an entertainment lawyer, read over it several times before you sign“.

A Record label that wants you to grow won’t allow you to sign anything in a haste, they will advise you to get a lawyer who will better explain things to you.
Here in SIERRA LEONE people read contracts and sign in 30 minutes. After a year they start saying they didn’t understand.

Even if a Record deal contract is written in your dialect, get an entertainment lawyer to explain it to you.
We are tired of seeing fights between artistes and record labels in SIERRA LEONE.
Record labels can also help these artistes by telling them to read well like Olamide told Asake.
