Oxytocin is a departure from the deep echoey resonance of its predecessor, showcasing Errance’s versatility as a producer. While ‘Guidance’ was a slow, shuffling piece of organic house with a bouncy four-on-the-floor beat, Oxytocin has a more abrasive and textural vibe. It’s build around a gamelan bell part filled with sound bites recorded all across canada.
Errance is the solo musical project of Gabriel Gagnon, who is beginning to carve out a place for his own musical expression in the wake of a process of deep introspection, self-growth and a profound connection to nature. Both singles are lifted from his upcoming self-produced album, Errance, set for release on May 17th, 2024.
