Congrats to Charleigh!! She is this weeks Arby's All-Star Athlete. Charleigh thrives on playing basketball and being all she can be. Charleigh spent 85% of her summer in a Gym doing basketball. The lead guitarist re-wrote the book on electric guitar. The singer had a charisma unmatched in all of rock 'n' roll. The songs were awesome, the band was tight. Now if only they could keep the band together! It's Van Halen's debut album, that ERUPTED onto the radio in 1978. Hear it in its entirety. And the stories behind the music. JC: My little guy, Jake, has only one thing to say to Ashley MacIsaac about his rant today! Hit PLAY, below … Ashley doesn’t like when you call him “Buddy”. And here’s what he posted on Facebook: “No I know I'm going to get a thousand people are going to exactly use the word because they think it's funny but does anybody realize Nova Scotia that calling people buddy is an insult unless your name is Buddy is in buddy McMaster people use it from one reason as a point of condensation and people pretend that they're just being as fun like hey buddy but they're not when people say buddy it's condescending and it's rude have you said it in Ontario you might get a punch in the mouth from somebody I don't know where nova scotians think that it's cool to call each other's buddy in a rude way I just had a lady say buddy you can't park here I wanted to say I'm not your buddy but I won't Park here that's fine because she meant it in a rude way and I thought if I was wearing a nice suit and dressed a different way what she says certain people I don't mind saying it people don't know any difference like all the young Indian people who come here to work now that think it's normal because of hearing it but the truth is it's rude how about you just say friend because buddy is meant to be rude and meant to be putting down on somebody and it's time to Nova Scotia stop using the word okay buddy and get what I mean buddy does that sound like I'm being positive when I say what are you going to respond to my post with Buddy.. why not just be directing us and say your effing sea soccer. If u wanna be rude rather then pretend your being polite with a backhanded connent” What’s your take on “Buddy”?? Annoying and condescending … or an Atlantic Canadian term of endearment?

JC: The Super Harvest Moon coincides over the next hour or so with a partial lunar eclipse!! So across most of the region, things are pretty clear and warm ... some cloud in Newfoundland and the Saint John, NB area ... otherwise, feel free to post any cool photos you take of tonight's moon! I'll start with my lousy iPhone photo of the very bright moon just outside the great broadcasting monolith, taken moments ago. And now ... enjoy Eddie Vedder, onstage tonight at Fenway Park in Boston, under the Green Monster, discussing its greatness, and the very cool moon we're all watching!!
