JC: We lost Rick Davies this weekend, the man who led Supertramp for its entire 40 year existence. This is me with Rick and sax player, John Anthony Helliwell, in the studios of Q104 Halifax on August 21, 2002. As the legendary Bob Coburn hosted Supertramp on his international radio broadcast, "Rockline". Bob was live in L.A., Supertramp was in Halifax for a show the following night. Tonight on "Rock Waves" at 9:20 Atlantic, 9:50 in Newfoundland, we'll hear a clip from that broadcast, and a conversation I had with Rick in which he mentioned that Newfoundland was the location where a significant moment took place in Supertramp history. Feel free to take a guess at what that moment was, in the comments below. Perhaps you're aware of that cool bit of Supertramp trivia ...??
