Why PavPro Consulting?

I spent a lot of time working for small to large organizations and in many industries. I joined the US Air Force out of high school dreaming of flying. I found out the Air Force wasn’t for me, but I learned a lot of valuable lessons and met some really good friends - and my best friend now for almost 30 years.

I received my Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Wichita State University in Wichita, KS. I was done with school, or at least I thought I was. I began working and doing some employee training and working on projects early in my career. I moved on to running a few small projects, working in quality and also running employee training. This all brought me to making a decision to go back for my Master’s degree, but in what?

Two things I knew I loved from my career so far: running projects and training. My big passion was (and still is) projects. After seeking advice between a Masters of Project Management (MPM) or a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Project Management, it was the MBA with a concentration I chose. After graduation, I moved to Washington, DC and worked for the US Department of Energy for a few years, honing my skills and preparing to take my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam.

After moving to Canada upon getting married in 2011, I went on to get my PMP. Still working for companies and learning more about agile, I later became certified as an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP). Using these skills and my love for teaching, I began teaching at Sheridan College for their Project Management Certificate program in 2015, bringing in the next generation of project managers.
