PRAISE THE LORD! To God be the Glory! Ezekiel 37:3–5 says, "And He said to me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' So I answered, 'O Lord God, You know.' Again He said to me, 'Prophesy to these bones and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.'"
God carries Ezekiel into a valley littered with dry, brittle bones, silent reminders of what once was. Then comes the question that cuts right through the impossible: "Can these bones live?" Ezekiel's answer is humble and honest,"Lord, only You know." And right there, God issues a command that defies all common sense: Speak to the bones. Declare life where there is none. And as the prophet speaks, God's power moves, bones rattle, sinews form, breath fills them, and what was once scattered and dead rises into a mighty, living army.
That, my friend, is the pure force of God's Word, transforming the hopeless into the unstoppable.
Now bring that scene into your own life. What are your dry bones today? What feels drained, empty, worn out, or beyond repair? It could be your confidence, your vision, your strength, or your sense of purpose. Maybe you've whispered to yourself, "I missed my chance," or "I'm too old," or even "I've failed too much to rise again." We've all had those moments when it feels like the dream has expired and the fire has gone cold.
But hear this truth, if God has given you breath, He has given you hope. Your purpose did not die because the season became difficult. Moses was eighty when God lit his assignment. Jehoash was only seven when he stepped into his calling. God works through anyone who dares to believe again.
So today, speak to your dry bones. Speak life, talk about faith, speak the Word of the Lord. And watch what kind of army rises from your valley.
