I started my career in music like most... tinkering in recording, playing, writing and just making fun sounds. From there, I worked with indie artists in Fredericton, until I knew it was time to move to Toronto. In Sept. 2004, I landed an internship at Metalworks Studios which quickly turned into an Assistant Engineering job. The experience gained there was incredible, working with artists like Ou
r Lady Peace, Billy Talent, Rush, Ian Gillan, and assistant producing the Live 8 Canada DVD. Having worked on several sessions for what was then Canada's largest independent record company, Somerset Entertainment. I was then hired by them to assist and engineer many of the records they produced. I worked at Somerset for 10 years, through 2 changes of ownership. Mood Media (2010-2013) and Allegro Media Group (2013-2016). Through those years, I not only built on my engineering and mastering skills, but learned several other key components to the record company. Video editing, graphic design, Digital distribution, catalog and content management and so much more. Since Somerset shut the doors in Sept 2016, I've been very fortunate to move forward with my own business, focusing on many of the same things that worked at Somerset, but also building and growing into new fields like sales analytics and social media management. I've successfully merged several sales statements into an analytics program and determined which distributors are working best, which albums are performing best and other valuable data insights as one of my most recent project for a major artist. I continue to mix and master, which is my true passion and I run two lablels "Pure Rest" and "KinderChartin'". If you need any type of audio work, email or call... I'd love to help your project grow and sound awesome!
