Happy New Year from the MayneLiner! Unfortunately the January MayneLiner hasn’t been delivered to mailboxes yet, even though it was delivered to the Post Office earlier this week. Canada Post hasn’t been able to tell us why that is, but we are hoping this will be resolved soon. In the meantime it’s for sale at Home Hardware, Tru Value & the Gas Station for only $4, if you can’t wait 🙂

The November MayneLiner is in resident’s mailboxes and in the Stores (Gas Station, Home Hardware & Tru Value) today.

The July ML is in mailboxes and at stores today. The cover is orange to honour the victims of the former Indian Residential Schools, possibly with more unmarked graves discovered today. There are articles inside by Johnny Aitken, Jennifer Iredale and MayneLiner staff on these important issues that are long-overdue being addressed.

The June MayneLiner features a story about the Mayne Island Lions Club 50 years on Mayne. On the cover is Harry Lane, one of the MI Lions original charter members and inside there's an article on Harry and some original Lions history. Congrats to this group that has given sooooo much to our community over the years!

If you haven't seen it yet, the May issue of the MayneLiner should be in your mailboxes today. Featured is a photo of Linda & Bruce who have sold Sunny Mayne Bakery to new owners and are leaving the island. The Island got in their cars and gave them a big drive by good bye today. See story inside.
