Josh will be managing the CEED Centre Farm Market this Thursday from 10:00 to 2:00. Come down to see his selection of veggies from Triple Creek Farm and Christian and Elaine's Farm. Triple Creek Farm is bringing Beets, Blueberries, Eggs, Garlic and new Potatoes. Christian and Elaine’s Farm is offering Chives, Cucumbers—fresh and pickling, Green Beans, Garlic, Kale, Oregano, Parsley, Peas, Swiss Chard, Thyme and Zucchini. You can pre-order select veggies.

The CEED Centre Society is hiring for its second Canada Summer Jobs position. Here is what the right candidate will have as their main responsibilities. Students actively continuing in post-secondary education are eligible in the age range 18-30 years. This is an 8-week posting.

Farm market manager/Program assistant

Responsibility Set 1
-plan, setup and manage a weekly, one-day, farm market stall on-site. Manage produce receivables, customer relations, point-of-sale tracking, bookkeeping, ordering, marketing and sales. Manage market volunteers. Work in a team of 2-3 people.

Responsibility Set 2
- Co-facilitate three weekly 2-hour programs, including a seniors group, community discussion and art group.

Responsibility Set 3
- Help community members access the Internet and provide basic Internet and computer training. Help seniors learn to operate their devices. Help with social media content and publishing.

Responsibility Set 4
- Keep the Neighbourhood House facility and gardens clean, and contribute to the Society and its community with your unique skill set.

We are teaming up with Cinema Politica Ridge Meadows to screen Jack Emberly's investigative documentary, Fairy Creek Blockade--As I See It. Admission is free for the first 25 to register (604-463-2229) for the screening on April 14 at 7 pm at the CEED Centre Neighbourhood House. Jack will lead a discussion of the issues that the video raises.
