Kimberley K. Hutton Inc. is a dynamic public practice firm focusing on small to medium sized owner managed businesses, Not for Profit and charity organizations, and law firms. We are a customer service oriented practice with a diverse client base in Vernon and Lumby BC.

Having started our firm in the small Village of Lumby, we pride ourselves on having a practice where our staff and clients are part of our “community”.
We are seeking an experienced individual in the role of Intermediate Bookkeeper/Office Administrator to work in our Lumby office with some on-site work at client locations in Vernon.
Responsibilities would include:
• Workflow management and relationship building with clients
• Preparation of T1 Personal tax returns
• Full-cycle bookkeeping
• Preparation of GST and PST returns
• Preparation of T4, T5 returns and WCB returns
• Payroll preparation
• Client greeting and answering telephones
• Bank deposits and mail management
• Administrative duties around scheduling, client timeline management, ordering supplies, timesheet entry and filing
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of 2 – 5 years of experience preferably in a public practice setting
• Completion of an accounting diploma program is an asset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment
• Ability to work both as a member of a team and individually
• Produce high quality work with attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to work independently and professionally
• Intermediate knowledge of Sage 50 desktop, Quickbooks online (QBO), tax preparation software, MS Excel and MS Word
• Experience with PC Law and Payment Evolution is a definite asset, but training will be provided
Our offices are open from 8:30 – 4:30 Monday through Friday; however, some compensated overtime is expected from February to May each year. We offer competitive wages, paid overtime and bonuses based on performance and firm-wide success. Full benefits are available to the successful candidate on completion of a three-month probation period.
