Rise & Shine!🌞

One of my highlights from this summer would have to be our annual friends cottage trip! Every year a group of us head up to Northern Ontario for about a week.🌲

✨Refresh your social media profiles with these 4 tips!✨

1️⃣IDEAL BIO
This is one of the first things people read when they come across your page! You want to get your point across about who you are and what services/products you offer, but still keep it short and sweet. Your profile picture should be eye-catching, professional, and inviting!

2️⃣CALL TO ACTION
Your website link, email, phone number etc. should all be front and center. Add some emojis to draw your audiences attention! Add action buttons so visitors can easily create a booking or contact you. Consider adding a link tree if you have multiple links you want your page visitors to see.

3️⃣BRANDING
Ensure your colours and fonts are consistent throughout your posts, stories, and highlights. Pick a vibe you like and stick with it for
a more aesthetically pleasing and organized page!

How do you like to start your work day off?🤷‍♀️

I know sometimes it can be hard to "start" your day, especially when you run your own business or work from home.😴

Finding motivation can be tricky, so here are some tips I find helpful:

✨Set your alarm
I know sleeping in is tempting, but waking up around the same time each day helps our bodies get into a routine and become more productive in the AM.

✨Make goals each day
Making a schedule or creating realistic goals are ways to ensure you stay on task. It can be easy to get distracted, so I find having something to physically cross off satisfying.

✨Get into the right mindset
Let go of the stresses of yesterday, today is a new day. Be sure to take time to nourish yourself with breakfast - like I did in this photo, yum!

✨Have strict work hours
Plan on the hours you work and break for the day. Don't get stuck working late because you procrastinated, or are burning yourself out. Set boundaries for a better work-life balance.

I know it's not always convenient to post your content at specific times. However, it can make the world of a difference.👀

You want to make sure you're posting when your target audience is going to see it! This means... ANALYTICS!🙌

Online scheduling programs make it easy and lay out your best times to post so that your always getting the best chance for people to take interest in your business/product.✨

First of all you might be wondering... what is engagement?🤔

Engagement is easily one of the best ways to grow your community online, however it consists of certain strategies and time-commitment to get the best outcome.⏲️

These strategies are things such as:

✨Liking and commenting on your niche audiences content
✨Researching your competition and who their audience is
✨Meaningful interaction with your current following
✨Hashtag optimization and interaction
..and many more!👀

It's no wonder these tips show great results, however not everyone has the time to actually do these engagement strategies. I always recommend a minimum of at least 20 minutes of continuous engagement 5x a week, but more is always better!✔️

Do you take time to stop and "smell the roses"?🌹

If you're a go-getter like me, you know that sometimes we achieve one goal and move right on to the next, without even taking the time to celebrate our win.👎

This needs to stop! We need to slow down and celebrate all of the wins in our life. Small or large, self-inflicted or team-orientated. It doesn't matter, because you did it and you can do it again and again, whatever it may be.🙌

Remember, you have already achieved so much in your life and you are the only obstacle holding yourself back from achieving even more. No more "someday I'll do it", act NOW and be grateful for the NOW.✨

💭For all those small business owners out there who work from home...

Do you make certain work hours for yourself or do you just go with the flow? I find I work best with a schedule, knowing when I start and end work for the day.⏰

I make sure to take a certain amount of time each day so I don't get behind and feel overwhelmed, but sometimes this can be really tricky while working from home!🏡

You know what a great alternative is??

CHANGE your ENVIRONMENT!✨

This can be a great help for any creative block, lack of motivation, or perhaps even burnout. Sometimes we just need to get out of the house and why not grab a little treat for yourself while your at it!🚗

I find cafes and local restaurants a great place to work from. Sometimes that little push of getting out of the house and putting on some real clothes can really help to get our mojo back!😂
