Bruce Parker also tells us the fascinating story of Jason Rip and recognizes the hard-working volunteers who build and maintain the skating rink on the 'Green'. Steve Hardy, Chris Murphy, Marque Smith and Oliver Whitehead share their 2024 career highlights and plans for 2025; and Ben Porchuk introduces us to local owls! In the November edition of the Wortley Villager, we shared an excerpt from Connie Weir's book 'Knowing No Defeat' that profiles 57 men from London South Collegiate who gave their lives in WWII. Pictured is Lieutenant Darling who had lived at 268 Ridout Street and was killed by shrapnel from an artillery shell on December 9, 1943. We will remember him.
