Newborn Family Sessions ✨

Amber was the best model and big sis ever BUT keep in mind this is all new to your older kiddos as well! I love including your whole fam in your newborn photos but you definitely have to go in with zero expectations for their behaviour/how they’re going to feel. They kind of get to run the show to be honest. Whatever they’ll allow us to get pictures of us what we’ll get and that’s okay! 💕

I get asked quite often if you NEED newborn photos.

You do NEED some kind of newborn photos. Here’s why - my son was born with dark hair, dark skin and dark eyes and now…he’s a pale, blue eyed ginger 😂 They change SO fast and you absolutely forget about the newborn scrunch, what they looked like and how tiny they were.

Do they need to be professional photos? Absolutely not. But here’s why you might want them to be - you’re SO fricken tired and you may have other kids at home. When I’m in your home, I’m all yours to boss around. Need me to watch the big kids while you change baby? Done. Want to sit on the couch and not move after your c-section? I’m happy to take full reins and positioning and changing your babe if you need me to. It’s just another hand and way less work!

Why else - when you’re taking photos on your own, a lot of the time you’re missing the tiny details. Their tiny toes and fingernails, the tiny blonde hairs on their shoulders, THESE are the things your photographer will capture that you want to remember. ✨
