*DONATION DRIVE RESULTS*
R & J Recycling here!

We finished our June Donation Drive for The Lacombe Action Group today! For Donations, we received $395 worth of BOTTLES AND ETRANSFERS!

Thank you to everyone who donated!! All proceeds will go towards Lacombe Action Group and their Care Program!

The Lacombe Action Group Specializes in In-Home Care, offering their own facility at #4 Iron Wolf Boulevard for those in need! Whoever wants to learn more about their operations can visit their website at https://action-group.ca/

**4 YEAR ANNOUNCEMENT**
To all R & J Recycling followers and customers! ⬇️

After 4 years of working hard, meeting new customers (and friends!), and learning more about business from experience, it's time to learn something new. AFTER JULY 10, We're stopping all R & J Recycling services and only offering Donation Drives!

One of our MAIN REASONS for shutting it down is paperwork/the time we put into it. We are also looking to grow and learn more, however, it feels like the end of the road with Recycling for us…

We want to THANK everyone for their effort for Recycling and support of R & J Recycling! We've met so many unique individuals and the amount of small town Awesomeness with you guys is Awesome💯

We will be getting June quotes out after next week, and July Quotes out after the 2nd Week of July!

We are asking one thing: Josh and I are hopefully both getting new jobs within the next month, so we will be needing as much Good Honest references as we can. If you can put your own REVIEW of us and R & J Recycling on our page (if you don't have Facebook, Google will do), that would be AWESOME!

Again, thanks for all of your support, we will be finishing up on the 10th. Donation Drives will keep going for now 👍

*JUNE DONATION DRIVE*

Hey everyone! It’s been a while, we’re announcing our Donation Drive, though, for The Lacombe ACTION GROUP!

We did a Donation Drive for them last year, and were not disappointed! The Lacombe Action Group/Castaways Thrift Store is the Local Nonprofit for ALBERTANS with Disabilities. The Action Group provides IN-HOME SUPPORT and their own HOUSING CENTER for those in need, giving a hand to those who are physically and/or mentally challenged. One of our favourite organizations with some of the most DOWN-TO-EARTH people we’ve met!

If you have BOTTLES, THRIFT STORE DONATIONS or CASH/ETRANSFER DONATIONS, we’ll gladly take them off your hands! All proceeds will go to the Lacombe Action Group. Feel free to message us at (587) 679-7610 to donate!

This donation drive for The Broom Tree Foundation and Café was a SUCCESS!! We didn’t reach our goal, however, we did RAISE $467 worth of Bottles and Cash for them! Thank you to all who donated, we appreciate it!!

Broom Tree is there to help any families going through a Crisis. The contact number for anyone needing a hand is (825) 221-1213, they’ll be happy to help!

Another thing: their coffee is top notch! Got a fancy French vanilla Latte there, and it was the best coffee I’ve ever had💯 If anyone is looking for a slowed-down enjoyable environment for a date, business meeting or relaxed morning, check The Broom Tree Foundation and Cafe out!

Another month for a fundraiser, and this time it’s Lacombe’s The Broom Tree Foundation and Café!

Little backstory on the Broom Tree Foundation. Broom Tree was started by the five co-founders Corey Gish, Becky Kooiker, Janis Butcher, and Tamara Noordhof. Driven by the vision of its Director Donna Abma, Broom Tree exists to provide REFUGE, RESTORATION, and REBUILDING to local women and families who are in need.

Our goal for the fundraiser is to raise $1000 in TWO WEEKS! We’ll be accepting bottle donations as well as cash and etransfers. The last day to donate is APRIL 24. If you’d like to donate, feel free to contact our page!

Did you know that the TWO most common ways to RECYCLE something are to recycle it into a form of BUILDING MATERIAL or a form of FUEL? This is what we’ve found during our time in the recycling industry.

Cities go through a ton of waste every year. If there’s a way to recycle LANDFILL WASTE into a fuel or building material as a whole, Lacombe could turn its landfill into ASSETS instead of LIABILITIES.

Same thing goes for Households. If households could cut down on what they throw in the garbage AND use their waste to power their houses, It could mean a lower power bill AND less Garbage to go to the landfills.

Only thing is to keep an eye out for the tech to turn garbage into energy 🤔
