George Piccin is an avid fly fisherman, and has been tying flies for 32 years. He sources many of the materials himself to make the flies, (anything from local birds, to deer he has hunted, and even badger).

To help support his hobby, George has decided to open up "George's Flies", where you can purchase some of his eye-catching flies to use on the water.

It’s been roughly two and a half years, and I feel like I haven’t really had a chance to truly appreciate my filming trip up to the Northwest Territories until now. I always thought that all the photos or videos you see of the aurora borealis are highly edited, but in real life it is actually much brighter. At one point the lights got so close I swore I could’ve reached up and touched them.

Definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever had the opportunity to experience.

I'm always impressed with just how well 35mm film holds up in today's photography climate. With all the progressing technology in cameras, it's nice to take a step back from a screen and just shoot a photo. It really feels like you're capturing a moment in time, rather than being able to look at the photo and take it again if you don't like it.

Here are a few photos I took on a variety of 35mm film stocks. It definitely surprised me with how well they came out when I got around to developing them. (I personally like the small imperfections haha).

Here's a throwback shot from Jumbo Glacier, British Columbia last summer.

The night before it got so cold that it ended up snowing all through the night, so luckily we didn't have to camp through that haha. Looking forward to heading back when the weather gets warmer.
