The BIG E- Edition mission is to relieve and reduce poverty and support vendors of our magazine -people who are marginalized and have multiple barriers to employment, the homeless, those struggling with mental health and addiction and people living in chronic poverty.
Our goals are: 1) empowerment through building pride, confidence, self - esteem and financial security; 2) program sustainability by the creation of a social enterprise economy that values entrepreneurship, collective and community reinvestment and sharing of revenues; 3 ) creating permanent jobs for people with Lived Experience; 4) creating an alternative source of information for the public on important socio-cultural issues, as well as a platform for the public to express themselves as contributors to the magazine.
