The Thompson-Nicola Regional District is a fast 3 hour drive or 45 minute flight NE of Vancouver in British Columbia. Desert plateaus and hoodoos, pine treed arid hills, rolling grasslands and the look of prairies, sandstone canyons, and snow-capped mountains -some with ski resorts, and an inland rainforest. The region is home to ranches and farms , and cities and small communities lost in time. T

he film commission offers free scouting and survey services, a comprehensive digital library and the ability to send you comprehensive locations packages that pertain to your location needs. With a rich background in theatre, media production, and community development, Daniel is the founder of Kamloops Afro Films and One House Multicultural Communications Society. His inspiring career includes award-winning filmmaking and impactful work supporting Indigenous communities. He will be speaking about the Kamloops Black Film Festival.

We’re thrilled to welcome Gord Deyell, an active member of IATSE (IATSE 891) since 1976, as a guest speaker for our next Film Industry Networking Event! With decades of experience across Construction, Grip, Lighting, Props, and Set Decorating—and a primary focus on props since 1999—Gord brings a wealth of knowledge to share. Now based in Vernon, he’ll dive into the essential work that IATSE does in the film industry.

Wear your best holiday or ugly sweater and prepare for games, prizes, and a festive evening of networking and learning!

🎬 KISS showcases films (up to 5 mins in length) from amateur & professional filmmakers from across the Thompson-Nicola Region.

🏆 Cash prizes for winners are awarded by the KISS Committee & the Thompson-Nicola Film Commission.

Film enthusiasts can attend KISS Fest for FREE during the 2025 Kamloops Film Festival held in March.
