Santa needs some help! It's Christmas miracle time again and Friends of Cathedral are always so generous to our community this time of year. We are able to accept monetary donations (Schoolcashonline, cheque, or cash), gift card donations or items off the wish list. Join together as an alumni group, Friendsmas, family or staff group and spread the Christmas spirit!

Today we gathered as a school community to honour the men and women who fought for our freedom.

Remembrance Day has a special meaning for Cathedral as we are one of the few Catholic high schools in Ontario that had students fight in both World Wars. We individually recognized the 76 Cathedral heroes who did not return home. A candle was lit for each of them, a visual reminder of their sacrifice and our commitment to remember them.

Thank you to Captain Geoffrey Guy from the Canadian Armed Forces for speaking to our students today.

Last week, our school gathered for Truth and Reconciliation Awareness Week with a school-wide assembly to commemorate, reflect, and listen.

Our guest speaker Lyndon George shared the hard truths about the legacy of residential schools in Canada and the deep, lasting impact it has on generations.

Today, we wore our orange shirts to symbolize our commitment to the ongoing journey of reconciliation. While progress has been made, there’s still much work to do to ensure healing and justice for all.
